Xiaomi officially ditching the Mi branding for its premium phones

From now on it will be either Xiaomi or Redmi.

This means that the Mi 11's successor will simply be called 12, then. I just hope that Xiaomi will stop continuously renaming and rebranding their phones for different countries, including giving different specs for two phones with identical names (Redmi Note 10 Pro springs to mind).

    What a sham so no more Mi pads it will be just Pad or Xiaomi pad.
    When Mi pad was a lot better in every single aspect compared to Ipad from iIruit.

            if is tidies up branding, then who cares what they do?
            it is still the same series of phones, yet people are moaning like something major is changing.

            I think it will be way cleaner to have like for like naming across the board.

                            Hope they stop rebranding Phones as Poco, they should keep Redmi phones as Redmi and Xiaomi phones as Xiaomi, Poco launcher is crap and I would appreciate it if it stayed on Poco phones actually made by Poco only.

                              This is the epitome of "Just change it up a little".

                                I thought xiaomi is parent company. Mi and redmi is name of xiaomi's smartphone and ecosystem. And now it's change. Mi is the parent company but why?

                                      This already happened quite a while back in Mainland China. Basically they are just bringing global markets in line with China. Think it will be a good thing if they eventually name their phones the same in different markets rather than under the Redmi brand in China and Xiaomi brand globally
