Do u think a 1.8 micron sensor will take better or a hmx sensor with 27mp binned will take better photos? And pixel size is literally pixel size. It has nothing to do with the camera quality. While 108mp or 64mp etc photos may just bring more noise and don't bring detail. But if u for example put quad Bayer on 108mp sensor it's gonna produce 27mp image like the hmx with the
4-1 binning it produces best detail of any phone. Pixel size may bring teeny tiny difference but its only like pixel difference and that doesn't matter.

And no I didn't say everything matters about sensor size. Infact the proccesing the isp and the sensor itself is more important. So it's not neccecary that the mi 11 ultra will always win against the vivo x60 pro+. The vivo could have better processing better isp so that makes it better on a few occasions.

I agree that sensor size is the key as well as processing. Mi 11 Ultra has the largest sensor but its output can lag behind X60 Pro+ with a much smaller sensor for example.

Also the higher the binned res is like the hmx which produces 27mp binned photos and has best detail fo all phones the more the detail. An 8mp sensor doesn't produce as much as detail as 12mp sensor. Plus the high res photos don't bring much detail either. What matters the most if software proccesign and sensor and sensor size.

Better ask HTC why they don't produce any proper smartphones anymore. Your example is a good failure.

Pixel size IS more important than resolution (except maybe not so much for telephoto lenses as another commented here) . That's why sensors use binning now to reduce 50-108 Mp resolutions to 12 and double-quadruple pixel sizes at the same time.

Except for the partnership with Zeiss and most likely their camera software, Iqoo 8 pro is seriously the better buy than this(maybe cheaper too)

So, you would choose iphone 6 (8MP 1,5 micron) over iphone 12 (12MP 1,4 micron).
                        Interesting.

Can we ask HTC why they dropped the 2 micron sensors in favor of 1,5 and later 1,4?

I read the Chinese ori source and it says x70 pro+'s camera lens are now all equipped with Ori CZ glass, instead of just the T Sonar coating with normal glass in x60 pro+. If that's the case, it's an massive upgrade.

Imagine in the DSLR world, you have a full frame but only with normal Kit lens. Now it's upgraded to the premium Zeiss lens.

Anyway still need to wait until 9/9 for the truth to be revealed.

The previous Vivo X60 pro+ was equipped with Zeiss T coating and imaging system, jointly developed by Vivo and Zeiss, which met the professional Zeiss imaging quality standard.
Besides T coated, the Vivo X70 pro+ will be with Zeiss original glass lenses.
The new generation Vivo X70 will also have the Vivo`s V1 imaging system chip.

"Its sensor will be 12MP Sony IMX663 and will offer 2x magnification.
The periscope cam will have an 8MP sensor and will support 5x zoom."

It's a downgrade! That 32MP camera was very good and still the same 8MP for the 5X instead of bringing back the 13MP 5X from the X50?
Looks like Vivo will really improve the "atrocious" video from the X60 line and call it an upgrade.
