Motorola Edge (2021) undergoes teardown on video, isn't very easily repairable

Any chance you know which 2 spots are test points on the main board to put the phone into edl mode?

    Heard from online forums that, including motorola, many companies facing chip shortage and due that only they couldn't deliver further units. They just delivered the people who pre-booked the device. I too waiting for the Edge 20 to be available. My existing Moto G5 plus already 4.2 years old and testing my patience at time..

          (modern) Motorola is one of these companies that if they did , nobody would lose anything of value. They can be buried in a matchbox for all I care...

            I don't know about the repairability of the phone. But, I know about availability and price
            Best Buy had it listed for $499. But, if you didn't activate it with a carrier it was the regular price of $699. So you would have had to get the phone with all of their bloatwate and crap to get it for $499. Not sure of you would have had to sign a contract or not and then be responsible for the additional $200 if you left that carrier early.
            I pre-ordered mine last Friday 08/28 directly from Motorola for $499.they shipped it FREE UPS overnight delivery by 10:30am service. Still had to pay sales tax.
            I just checked Motorola's website and it looks like they have an inventory of them.
            My 1st smartphone was a Motorola. I remember I loved it
            Motorola sorta fell to the wayside after that and Apple and Samsung took over. But with the Edge my opinion is Motorola is back. Others will probably only consider Samsung and Apple phones for future purchases. But,they are Ross in not looking at Motorola and especially the Edge 2021. I really am glad I looked at Motorola before I upgraded from my Samsung phone
            Oh and Best Buy indicated there would be a $50 activation fee. I went t a T-moile store and they put a new sim card in the phone and made sure it was on the network for $0.
            I will miss the chi charging capability I had with my old Samsung. But the other specs are much, much better. Ram, storage space, and processor speed are great. It only took 35 minutes to completely charge the battery. When I received it. My advice is to check motorola.com for availability and consider this phone if you are looking to upgrade.

Here in the US were are stuck with this version thats sh**. And way to expensive for it not to even have OLED.

                That does not make the Moto look better though...

                    whats wrong with you people this is one very easy to repair phone,genuine display replacement comes with frame,only chinese copies which most people buy is display part only

Moto should have done something for this. I was waiting for like 7 months for a good mobile like Edge 20. Sadly even after launch here in India, I couldn't get it. I think they should have predicted the same numbers and produced more devices that are enough for the sale.

                            And by the way, what is happening with Motorola. The device was out of stock just minutes after its launch? What is going on?

                            Does GSMARENA know anything about this? Any tip when we can see the device go live again?

                              Surprising to see no update for this phone. People are crazy about Samsung.
