The first products supporting aptX Lossless will come out later this year.

LG quad DAC is the best. Qualcomm and Sony should keep trying.

OhNom, 02 Sep 2021So we stopped developing bluetooth technology because there... moreI still take the 3.5mm jack over Bluetooth all day long when it comes to audio. I only use Bluetooth when connecting my phone to my car centre console, that's it.

I don't think that the audio jack should have been dumped until they got Bluetooth hi-res sorted out personally.

In any case, my preferred BT solution is to get a BT headphone DAC, like my Fiio BTR3K for around 70$, and plug whatever wired headphones I want into it. It even has a mic for calls and supports AptX HD and LDAC.

Once it becomes obsolete, I'll just upgrade to another one that supports the latest AptX CODEC at the time, and keep on rocking with my favorite wired headphones, like my Port-a-pros when out and about, or my M40X's when listening at home.

No point in dumping good BT headphones that have just become obsolete because Qualcomm came out with a better CODEC every couple of years, as I see it.

OhNom, 02 Sep 2021So we stopped developing bluetooth technology because there... moreIt was a joke bro. Lol. I'm for advancement in tech. Just get me graphene batteries with ZERO latency and total 24-bit lossless audio and I'm in.

Is there open standards for high res audio?

Out of curiosity, I wonder if it could be 24-bit and 48kHz instead of 16-bit and 44.1 kHz audio (whichnis CD quality). So, then it could appear truly lossless (atleast within the dynamic range of the majority of humans ears?).

Integrity Music - Alvin Slaughter - GOD Can - 1996
                      https://youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_mlf9G2sTNSF_p-qMj664ooTDNMXHoZm5A
the live recording in New York in 1996 rely on analog professional equipment, all wired, both mastering and reproduction were in digital, beautiful sound, i can hear clearly every bit of sound, well mixed

Hillsong Music - the People Tour - Madison Square Garden - 2019
                      https://youtube.com/playlist?list=RD7a9xmHq1cxg&playnext=1
the live recording in New York in 2019 full digital full wireless, maybe, just maybe, equipped with both Midas and Dante features, subjectively, for me, the audio definitely not as clean as the Integrity Music 1996

other audiophile you can find on youtube that i can recommed
                      - from Clarity Recordings (defunct, i am so sad) 1992
                      https://youtu.be/jOIiNgxinyQ
this is crazy ... recording live only using 2 custom microphone wired to tube amp and digitally mastered
                      - from Sheffield Live Studio Recordings
                      Sheffield Jazz Experience 1988
Lincoln Mayorga, His Distinguished Colleagues, and Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra
                      Summertime
                      https://youtu.be/LUGo984ggWQ
live recording in Moscow by Sheffield, i can "see" the stage

in conclusion, even the fully digital and wireless professional equipment, in my experience, can not beat the analog wired, of course, both equipments are handpicked, the best in the market. Therefore, the wireless may will be beats the wired sometimes in the future, but, requires higher denser overlapping frequencies that may harm human.

stay healthy, live long, and prosper

Anonymous, 02 Sep 2021Even the best TWS will not sound better than wired.I can attest to that. LG's wired Quad DAC audio is still my top favourite. No other smartphone can beat it, not even Sony's.

Reality is, they aren't. I have AirPods 2 and SoundPeats TrueAir 2 and they both sound good to a point I just don't give a s**t. AirPods 2 are actually a bit harder to overdrive and maybe has better defined bass and highs as it's not as harsh sometimes, but in general they sound great considering they aren't in-ear with sealing. You people make it sound like using AirPods 2 is listening to a tube gramophone from 1890. That's just made up BS by all the generic Apple haters.

Anonymous, 02 Sep 2021Even the best TWS will not sound better than wired. It depends. There are many wireless headphones and earbuds that sound better than wired ones. When it comes to stable connection and simple usage wired is always better. But wireless is improving slowly but surely.

This def is going to be on the Snapdragon 898 SoC whatever it's going to be called.

Will it be available for Devices with Aptx support?
