WhatsApp gets €225M fine in Ireland for breaking data protection rules

02 September 2021
The company plans to appeal the decision, unsurprisingly.

Prototype, 03 Sep 2021When they appeal, please ask for 2 billion euros fine and i... moreWhy not 200b euro fine. Cuz WhatsApp literally knows every fcking thing about u. And privacy is a big NO NO when using WhatsApp. Literally my dad once said something about a product and then when opponed Facebook there was something available almost exactly the same as what he was saying. Which means Facebook had microphone enabled and they were spying on him. Unfortunately many people do not know what WhatsApp is doing and all people are using WhatsApp because eof how popular it is.

When they appeal, please ask for 2 billion euros fine and if they appeal again ask for 20 billion euros fine!

Respect Ireland. Facebook should be fined too. No company should function without contact options, why Facebook does?
Because people are... well, we already know that.

      Good news!

rizki1, 03 Sep 2021the most boring app chat that i am using in my phones right... moreThat is the reason why I was forced to go back to Android after WhatsApp is no longer officially supported on Windows Phone anymore since early 2020. I'm a Telegram guy but only a few friends of mine use Telegram. The rest, including my families, only use WhatsApp.

AnonD-1016461, 03 Sep 2021WOW Who said this?No less than Facebook themselves said it*. It was actually started by an American sculptor and video artist named Richard Serra.
