Not so long ago efficiency was about 50%...
I really like the tendency, especially with the expectation of portless phones in the near future.

The 'wireless' in wireless charging means that no wires are needed to connect the phone to the charger. Wires will be needed to supply power to the charger because your house does not have a wireless plug. If your house had a wireless plug, they would have provided the charger without any wires.

Like u can charge it and then u can slap it on a phone. And make it like 5-6 inch so its like a good chunk of any 6 inch phone or bigger but its so that it could atleast charge some portion of the phone battery. And I guess maybe just 7k mah or something could be enough

It's wire... moreDo you see any cable in the usb-c port? it's mangentic charging it's not wired it snaps on to the phone with ease and I doubt the cable will annoy anyone it's on the back of the phone anyways, so while yes it's not truly wireless it's the best implemention so far.

Most of the components are by samsung which is not chinese(frankly it is Korean but who cares) and its just that apple makes them but Samsung produces them but still. Apple is a trillion dollar company yet its still more greedy for profit. And although its nto that greedy its not even going to use premium material for thier phone.

How can this possibly be wireless charging?
It's wired charging with more weight attached to the phone and less efficient energy transfer.
It was dumb when Apple fans fell for it, Android makers copying this daft idea is just sad.

Current 12 line, has less than 5% of pieces from chinese suppliers.
More chinese pieces = cheaper prices, even more for local OEMs because they do not need to pay import fees.
Hardware of iphone 12 pro 128GB costs $407, while the 128GB mi11 has same price of 64GB iphone 12, about $370.
The "let's wait until tech is mature", is just an excuse from Apple. They simply choose not to do many things. Apple knows they will keep selling more than 50 million units of each new device per year, no matter what they do or do not.
Apple has budget enough to make iphone the best at everything. Apple just does not want to do it.

So the phone goes 90 degrees to the table.
Portrait or landscape mode.

Wireless charging is really useless. Just connect it to the cable for half an hour and get it over with.
