I will stop using Oneplus at my 1+6TMc, my first was 1+1. Now and then it's not Oneplus that I knew anymore, the flagship killer.

So they stick with the fragile edged screens. Good for them.

One does simply not buy oneplus for the camera.

I have no problem with that. I mean, what can you really improve in design nowadays, apart from under display cameras. I‘ll bet the back of the iPhone Pro Series will also look the same between 11 Pro, 12 Pro, 13 Pro, 14 Pro at least.

Bland camera island design and dull glossy colors

typical BBK Group,,
similar design from top to bottom, similar components between sub-brands, exaggerate marketing and expensive at launch but cheap few months later.

Eh, sure the 9 series looks modern enough to warrant carrying over. Really though, if they can't figure out how to squeeze in bigger batteries and better cooling in the same chassis, they should develop something from the ground up instead.

oneplus should be discontinued altogether, they have wonderer way off from the original idea
