Moto, 07 Sep 2021Comparing the photo quality of a Redmi/Poco device with an ... moreIts doesn't have to be flagship, plenty of Samsung A5x series in my place and they will take way more consistent somewhat more natural that whatever sh*t Poco camera software is taking.
Poco X3 camera software barely able to focus and take image of a moving object like pet for example and if they recognized plantation the vivid the sh*t out of it.
I could try to press the shutter button like 10 times and only take once if i'm lucky as the camera software is freaking out on "why the object is moving?"
Not sure what went wrong, my Redmi Note 5 ai never have problem with focusing or taking image of moving object. Tough color will be way more muted because xiaomi at the time thinks that is more "natural" looks.

Last week, my X3 battery died for the first time after awhile (normally, always charge it before it died) and i kid you not, its stuck on boot. Yes, just update it to 12.5 like few weeks before but still. How in the hell its unable to do a simple basic task. Its problem that apparently pretty common as i look for method to deal with it.
I ended up trying two method to safeboot before it able to boot properly. SMH

I'm on my second redmi. They are pretty buggy. The last one, a note 9 pro rapid charge broke after a forced mui update disguised as a security update. The new one, a note 10 had loads of installation errors during setup but seems to be working okay so far. Xiaomi is pushing for dominance and aiming to take on Google with Xiaomi cloud being free to use without an apparent storage limit. I chose the model with 50Hz amoled screen. Lower refresh rates save battery life and there isn't much noticeable difference.

Adding a proximity sensor would definitely up their game, but I personally despise on-screen fingerprint sensors. Their majorly gimmicky and tend not to work as good as a normal one on the power button.

2) Under-display fingerprint sensor.

If you compare with mid rangers from Samsung, however, you will see just how good the Redmi/Poco is.
Also, if you don't like the camera software, then just use a different one. Gcam in example.

Xiaomi is competing with Realme GT neo2. Whoever launches it first at best rate wins.

Anonymous, 07 Sep 2021Megapixel isn't everything megapixel isn't everything, there is plenty other aspect like sensor size, pixel size, aperture, and lens type which to some degree matters more than sheer megapixel count.
There is also image processing software tuning which Xiaomi Redmi series have tendency to lags behind Samsung or Apple.
And now my own Poco x3 have unbalanced color setting, laggy image taking or downright not responsive camera software.
Seriously, if you not hunting for Poco x3 pro for SD860, get the Redmi note 10 pro instead of this Poco X3 nfc. Not that bad but yeah, poco skinned Miui OS and built in software kinda sucks.

Redmi Note 10 pro (+max for India) needs a such good soc. If Xiaomi ads just this feature, will be a fantastic device with great camera, sd, jack, 5000mah, 33w and great display.

No phone are perfect.
