Meego Takeover, 14 Nov 2012Totally agree. Samsung has taken away potential profits fo... moreOk. So because everyone else is not stepping up their game enough or at least not til months and months later means its Samsungs fault? They should not make as good of devices as they do?

Do you know why?
1. Large replaceable batteries.
2. MicroSD memory expansion.
The two things on the top of my list (and I doubt I'm the only one) when selecting a new device. How many manufacturers still follow the above concept?

I don't see anyone completely dying off though. With WP8, the competition actually heats up, and the consumers ultimately benefit.

Anonymous, 14 Nov 2012You are completely off. Manufacturers only release a few wp... moreCompletely off? Do you not even see how hard HTC is pushing their WP8 line? If you're an Android manufacturer being pummeled by Samsung, and now a NEW market is opening with no clear leader, wouldn't you take your chances and go with WP8? That's why notice that Samsung just pushed one boring black ATIV, while the others are pushing out more interesting WP8 models.
As far as I can see, Samsung is driving the other players to WP8 where they have a chance. Ironically, this would actually be bad for Android later.

Sammy keep it up! But dont forget hardly 5yrs back you had no OS in mobiles. Its becuz of Google Andriod which pepped up your name. Why you didnt progress on own Bada flopped. Nokia still has reserves but steady, Apple has become status symbol than tech device lacking most essentials. Being American!
Mostly sets are sold on carriers then smuggled to world at exorbitant rates to be unlocked. Mind it when ever you need a cell there is always new inovation n market.

It's quite obvious, it's a 2 phone race. It's between teh Galaxy 3's vs teh Iphone5's. Samsung is just killing the android market. No one comes close right now except for apple, who operates their own o.s. It's a good job for them. It's too bad. What samsungs doing now can be nokia, if they went on board earlier. It's really sad.
