You need good specs PLUS good build quality + good software and OS plus quick releases of firmware updates plus good support.

They have nailed all this with the Note 2 and to a lesser extent the SGS3 and it shows in the sales.

If you're not Samsung (or a Chinese OEM) then you're not going to make much money from Android. Samsung is cannibalizing the other Android OEMs. Samsung's growth matches up eerily well with the decline of the other majority Android makers.

That is a big win for Android and Samsung.

The message to programmers is clear.... GET ON BOARD!

I am expecting the android tablet app market to boom with the new nexus 10 and other android tablets.

Apple will keep going strong but it might not be such good news for HTC, motorola, RIM and Nokia.

Hopefully Android survives for the ones that like it as we need more choice and it shall soon be shown. November 21-22

This report is definitely incomplete, as Sony Mobile reported sales of 8.8m units in 3Q12. So it should be up there in front of HTC.

How is it possible that Nokia makes billions by selling their phones and they are losing money? I mean if HTC or LG or any other company would sell as many phones as Nokia they would make lots of prophit. So why is Nokia losing money when they sell so much phones with a good prophit?
