Exynos 2200 completes first Geekbench run, features AMD GPU with an open-source driver

Not that Geekbench tests the GPU, but it is an interesting detail. Also, this test seems to have been run with power saving mode on.

I am not buying second hand, I am buying new.
For example my Mi 11 Ultra cost me Rs.74k and I sold my OP8 pro for Rs.35k.

Effective price for my brand new Mi 11 Ultra was less than 500$ hence proving my point that one can change flagship phones every year while spending less than 500$

Why shouldnt arm or Oem create good drivers for Mali? It would cost just 0.000000001 of their income, but they don't care,

                I just hope Amd drivers would be good to compete with Adreno, maybe it will motivate them to create those drivers.

                  Still your Snapdragon 888+ and Apple A15 (and even M1!) aren't able to decode AV1...
                  Exynos 2100, Mediatek Dimensity 1100, 1200, 900, Kompanio 900T, 1300T, Amlogic S905X4 are able to.
                  Even last year, Dimensity 1000+ was able too...

                  Qualcomm and Apple sell you obsolete decoders!...
                  Apple is a member of the Alliance for Open Media (AV1 promoters)...will have AV1 on their own streaming service (Apple TV) and will provide hardware support 2 years late? Do you think it's normal?

                    That's just Qualcomm's mind control over some devs!

                    Some others do the job (on MMJ or MMJr versions).
                    It's a problem of motivation!
                    People who don't want, find excuses...
                    People who want, succeeds and proves it's possible.

                    Why would I try unfinished regular versions when MMJ ones work fine?...not only on Dimensity 1200, but even on Helio G90T (must be between 2.5 and 3 times weaker).
                    Regular devs don't care about 50% of the customers. Fine, I don't care about them too...it's simple.

                    It's exactly the same on Xiaomi dot eu. There's custom recoveries, custom kernels, tons of custom ROM for Redmi Note 8 Pro...people gives solutions to avoid brick...but Xiaomi dot eu doesn't want to port...a simple launcher.

                    And all Qualcomm's stuff isn't open...OEM hasn't access to Hexagon...
                    OnePlus or Vivo have low level access to Mediatek's ISP/DSP/AI...
                    Leads to 1200-AI and 1200-Vivo...
                    Vivo X70 and X70Pro don't need additional V1 chip...
                    Vivo X70Pro+ need it.

                        Qualcomm provide drivers for developers to use, but Mali they don't provide enough, and sometime even if they do Oems don't release those patches, so developers themselves should find workaround, for MMJ Weihuoya Himself had to fix Mali issues for Kirin which helped lot of exynos/mtk devices.

                            such a minority of people here considering Samsung sells millions of devices.

                            it's insane how many people out there, ordinary consumers will find there Exynos powered phones just fine yet the rhetoric is that if it isn't SD it's poop.

                            however, I don't have a Galaxy phone, but a Galaxy Tab S7 of course running the SD 865+, Single score around - 900 & Multi core around 3200, I'd say that with 6GB RAM, the performance figures here are easily great enough for 99% of consumers.

                            but I'll be expecting the Exynos 2200 & SD898 to be overpowered and therefore overheating peaces of junk yet again because manufacturers simply can't realise that

                              Basically, one single guy, sspacelinx, works on Mali and manage to fix a ton of errors.
                              How many people work on Snapdragon and how long?
                              Now, despite less optimisation, Dimensity 1200 with a tiny G77mp9 is less than 20% weaker than SD870 in emulators...less than 10% weaker in regular games.
                              Properly used, G78mp14 on Exynos 2100 should run like 888's GPU
                              You can scale G77 and G78 up to 24 cores.
                              As I said before G710 is physically twice bigger than G78 ...even if it is limited to 16 cores, G710mp16 is 33% faster than G78mp24.

Dolphin developers did mention it in their reports.
