But for example ifans clal 18gb ram or 16gb ram gimmick whne u cna opt for lower options or whatever seems suitable for you or the base model if its like 8gb or more.       I do think there has been excessive amounts of ram placed into certain Android phones, what are up we now 18gb isn’t it?

      That said if the iPhone 13 had debuted with that amount, I would have thought it very strange but likely wouldn’t have complained about it.

Everything... moreLOL yes.. they argue with anyone even if that doesn't make any sense.. i love Apple and their products.. whether it was the first ipod or the first ipad. Even I love the efficiency of their macbooks. Infact I have 8th gen ipad with apple pencil, which is my 4th ipad. Ipad air 1, ipad 6th gen, 7th gen being the previous ones. What I hate about apple is their pricing here in India. Particularly for few products only, like iphones, airpods and accessories. their ipad and macbooks pricings are actually very reasonable considering they are the most efficient in their class. But these kind of people take on with everyone acting all Richie rich, and when you actually meet them, you will find they are probably using a second hand iphone 7 plus or something half a decade old

Everything useful is considered a gimmick until it arrives on their iPhones. Be it bigger screens, HRR, amoled screen, widgets, split screen multitasking, ultrawide cameras, etc.

I remember all the comments Touch ID got when it debuted on the 5S, about it being nothing more than a gimmick. soon after fingerprint scanners were popping up on Android device’s all over, and such comments magically faded away

                            Same can be said for voice assistants until google assistant came along, same for the Retina display until QHD came along etc etc.

                            Though I’ll admit some Apple commenters do fall into that trap, and I don’t like seeing it in either direction.

                                      Apple have tended to increase only ram in line with actual functional need. This to me is a more logical approach. Especially when compared to the Android oem method of cramming ridiculous amounts into devices, that will be long removed from any form of software support before such is required.
