I know alot of people who hate how stiff and restricted Apple's software is compared to ANY other OS. It's not only about looks and how "smooth" it works. It's also about having the option to change just everything to your likings. Just like some people want fingerprintscanners on the side, on the back or inside the screen (that's hardware!) some people want gesture-controll, others want real buttons, others want onscreen buttons. Apple simply doesnt offer that. If you are not cool with what apple wants you to use, that's just your problem.
I know on the other hand, that diehard Applefans would say that Apple's OS is perfect like it is. But let's be honest: there is no perfect hardware and there is no perfect software. It's just interesting to see that Google keeps reinventing their stock Android experience to a point where it not only let's you customize it to the fullest, but also works smoother than ever before, while Apple is stuck in their ways.
You have to change up things to innovate. It's not enough to settle.

Iphone is just a brand. You are just paying for the brand. If you compare the hardware or software, it is just the same with other smartphones. I guess it depends on one person choice of taste. I admit, Iphone UI is pretty and smooth, but in terms of hardware it is almost garbage. So, what is really the difference, in term of hardware, between an iphone 12 pro max with a samsung galaxy S21+ ultra? And why do i need to pay more for less?

The software experience on Mi 11 Ultra is miles better than any iPhone I've used.
Software experience on iPhones is extremely overrated.
I've had iPads - Air, Air 2 & iPhone 8, 11 pro Max and switched between android and iOS for years.

[deleted post]i was exactly saying the same thing and even though i will never switch to iPhone i have to admit that the reason to buy such an expensive phone is the perfect software and the perfect long term support you get. Many people don't care about software and only check the hardware specs but it seems you really get what you pay for and that's something you can mostly understand by the magic the software can do.
I would say the best example here are phones from Xiaomi and Realme which can have very good specs for a very good price but the software and their updates are not perfect. Hopefully they will get there one day and iPhone will be forgotten.

They actually took criticism this time. I never thought they will actually care about what people want. I'm disappointed but I already knew that they will not introduce major changes for the next 2 years. The smaller notch is enough for now.

Apple makes a rock solid smartphone, while samsung goes back in times when the phones where too delicate/fragile that you cant even touch them

From Samsung hater to Samsung convert. I needed a Flip to finally flip sides. I got my first bill for my Flip 3 just today. I love it so much, I paid over $100 instead of minimum $27 monthly. It's giving me so much joy playing GameCube games today. I want to pay it off sooner. Might pay another $100 next month. Best device I've ever owned.
As for the iPhone 13, I don't even look at the feature set. Apple has gotten so lazy, they'll just tell us "all-day battery life" like it actually means something. Having an extra 1 to 3 hours coming from 5-7 hour SOT isn't exactly all-day. Apple is hilarious with their marketing.

Mi 11 Ultra is the true ultra device. IPhone 13 pro Max as expected is simply not upto the mark....and they want to charge 1250€ for this phone is just laughable when you compare it to what the competition offers.
