Any company would be stu... moreNot just that but from a legal stand point they have to put that because what if in a month the world found out that Iphones were causing the pandemic let's say, and they go bankrupt trying to prove it not true. No more Apple no more Iphone. Legally I'd it's not in there they are responsible for you getting an $800 credit every 2 years.

I have T-Mobile, and its great where I live. It isn't so great (often poor) in many other areas. Since I do have a legacy TMobile One plan (not One plus), I'd effectively be paying more in monthly expenses than the promotion is worth. This is no benefit to me in this regards.

What if Apple decides that the iPhone will sell for $200 only? T-Mobile has a company responsibility to make sure they are not backing themselves into a legal corner where users could sue them.

Of course it says that in T&C. Any company would be stupid not to put that in case they notice in 4 years it’s a bad choice for them and people start going against the forever promise. They clearly as of now have an example for so on and so on in year 2027 on the page. IT IS forever until they remove it or overhaul it like anything else in the world

So, jumping from one carrier to another, aside from bands differences, depending from where you live, might mean you will get a worst service.

Anonymous, 15 Sep 2021Why Americans buy phones from carriers? Just buy unlocked p... moreI'll list two very important reasons people do this in the United States:

                                1. They can get very good financing options buying from the carrier. I'm talking about 0% interest for 2 years, sometimes even a lower retail price. If you buy a phone outright from the rest of the world on a credit card, for instance, you'll be paying interest until it's paid off. Or just paying all of the cost upfront which means less money in your pocket.

                                2. Buying from the carrier grants access to immediate device support locally (as in a shop) and hassle free RMA/warranty replacements. Simply walk into any of the thousands of carrier branch offices and get a replacement same-day.

FatShady, 15 Sep 2021cause they can't afford to pay for the phone, so they ... more^ This right here. It's the only reason why the US is a cesspool of Galaxies and iPhones. Most other phones don't have a good deal with the carriers so it's usually one of those two phones.
