Same with Iphone vs rest of the android. Snapdragon and Mediatek is made to support a lot of different configurations and features while Bionic is designed to run only specific hardware and operation system with limited features.
Also who needs the best out of best chips anyways if there is nothing that will use this power and even 3 years old flagship chip will be powerful enough to last in a phone for 10 years and still wont be slow for anything that you do on a phone if the phone other hardware like screen and battery last that long
I have used SD636 for over 3 years and i dont think it's slow or anything as i can do everything with it still. And i dont play games on it and to be honest i dont understand playing games oon a mobile phone anyways and there are no other tasks on phones that take a lot of resource from hardware

M1 16billion transistors.
A15 build for low power consumption 2/4 core. M1 is build for performance 4/4 core.
Apple again balance power vs performance perfectly. Very happy that iPad mini got the A15.

Last year I predicted Snapdragon 888 to reach above 800k.
The results were barley crossing 700k.
After optimization to Antutu with version 9, the scores easily went past 800k.
This year I predict Snapdragon 898 will go past 950k easily
and might even touch the 1 million mark.
IPhone A series performance is almost a year behind the Snapdragon.

GeekBench scores for Apple device's are highly unreliabl despite their claims to be cross platform.
Antutu gives you better idea about the real score despite it being non cross platform
