4.99" 1080p? I just hope that Samsung also improves the quality of their display and it no longer has that annoying blue tint. Their SuperAMOLED used be the best screen tech but now they're already beaten by Nokia, HTC, LG and even the iPhone 5 with a smaller screen has much better screen clarity than Samsung.

If the screen was too big the S3 would not have been the best seller for Q3 2012 which outsold all other phones!
It appears Samsung has got the balance right.
If you're not happy then buy something else. No one is forcing you to buy an S3 or S4.
Buy what you're happy with that suit your needs. There is no need to spout rubbish on here.

Love it, hate it, or just plain ugly jealous, this is Samsung, the only company that truly innovates and manufactures almost everything essential. Other company brings another row of icon, this one gives you the Note 2 the most practical device to date with the right balance between hardware, software and battery. Not to forget the removable battery and expendable memory option on all of their device range. Just for that I'm gonna keep on supporting and will be damn well sure to spread the good words.

[deleted post]Most of the features of the Nokia Lumia 920 are yet to appear on any smartphone. As pointed out already by someone here, Qi standard wireless charging, supersensitive Puremotion HD display with 60Hz refresh rate, Pureview camera with floating lens and optical image stabilization, rich recording, NFC support for accessories and wallet, Bluetooth voice commands, free navigation, polycarbonate body with zirconium camera deco. Does it sound outdated to you?

[deleted post]Cant agree there ,Nokia have done pretty good to get a new O/S in place so quick and its pretty slick..They make different colour phones which is typical Nokia quirkyness and if all the usual apps are ready for W8 then with PureView its a good solid choice of smartfone..If anything i see IOS starting to loose its appeal and start to go downhill whether its got billions in bank or not.

That post below by me does not mean i agree with all this power..My iphone 4s and Nokia 710 are still smoother than my sgs3. The sgs3 is NOT as silky smooth it still has stutters and is absolutly nowhere near as fluid and consistent as iphone and basic 710..
Folk will argue with me but its true all that horsepower and in consistant constant use the sgs3 will falter..
We all know how iphone and W7 accomplish the fluidity but come on,SGS3 with all that horsepower it should rip through tasks and multitask with no glitches but i find it does not.

This is getting ridiculous...when people realize that samsung only gave the first step with this new hardware and everyone will follow soon?! Every frikkin mobile company will also make this step, you only criticize because is Samsung. Because they made a really good phone?! Is that it? Because once again they win EISA's prize? I see sad WP lovers trying to prove constantly that 920 is the best one! You know what, they have a great screen with new technology (saw it similar on Xperia Sola) and so what?! Is only that what's important? Did you saw the constant shutting report? Or are you shutting your eyes to that article? 920 is not suitable to everyone, iphone 5 is a joke of upgrade from iPhone 4S and SIII is a bit big for many people and they also claim that is made from cheap plastic. I tell you what...the plastic in him feels quite good, and it's good having the possibility of having a removable battery, quite handy in fact but well you don't care thins kind of things right? You don't care having thousands of original/3rd party acessories...hummm in that case, S III isn't for you. Nonsense...I suggest that you all try the SGSIII for about 5 days and tell me why don't you love him. Is simply the most full packed smartphone on the market and who says otherwise is a fool, admit it!

I got a new laptop 11 months ago with core i7 chip to sort of future proof my laptop for as long as possible and paid extra for it...Now 11 months later that kind of power is in a smartfone ie quadcore @2.0GHz same as my i7 quadcore @ 2.0GHz..
Obviously these are different types of chip mines got 2.9GHz turbo boost 6MB level 3 cache and 8GB RAM and the HD3000 basic GPU is miles ahead of any Mali GPU.
It goes to show how fast things move but my main gripe is still network speeds and battery life,,everything else has progressed except these essential items..Battery power has not changed its the engineers squeezing every mA out of their products...Its only efficient engineering that preserving battery life not battery tech..
Last thing is the big data killer and thats video,,we need a super new efficient video codec for smartfones to lighten load on networks and save use money in data charges and battery life...So altho they keep upping megapixels and proccessor and screens other main features are being ignored.

it means htc, sony, will come out with a phone with 13mp camera, and probably quad core. There is nothing different or unique about the S4. Also who the hell uses 13mp cameras these days? I guess Samsung is literally using "specs" as another marketing tactic.

and polycarbonate is a kind of "plastic"
sgs3 has a removable back panel. I think that's why it lacks the unibody and solid feel. While nokia, htc, and iphone do not have removable battery so their phones have a more solid feel

AnonD-78921, 20 Nov 2012Then don`t buy a SamsungI've been using SAMSUNG mobile phones in the post three years. I like it the fact that it boost the goodies worth of the price tag that no other manufacturer can offer.
But sometimes I felt envy of other device with aluminium case.
