Anonymous, 21 Sep 2021iOS is definitely the most polished OS, it had always been ... moreActually, iOS is not comparable to Android, as it is one of the worse structured OS ever (iOS). it should'nt be this hard to set up a hotspot or to make basic changes to screen luminosity (set up automatic luminosity). Also, setting notification vibration, sounds or changing alarm sound is a hassle. The keyboard is terrible. The gestures are too limited and don't always work as they should. I have an Iphone 12 Pro and it's worse to operate than my former Xiaomi MI 9T Pro. iOS still has to do some catching up. Apple may have the best chipsets but the OS is at least 2 generations behind.

This is probably the most boring iOS update to date. The only things that are remotely exciting is local Siri support and SharePlay (which is not yet live) *sigh*
is local Siri supported on ALL iOS devices receiving iOS 15?

iOS is definitely the most polished OS, it had always been and on iOS 15 is even more. I got it on my iPhone 8 Plus and it feels super smooth. The 8 plus is missing some features newer iPhones get but it still has all sorts of new stuff to make the use of the phone more useful and pleasant. The 8 plus still feels good to use like on the first day but it is already 4 years old. I don't regret having spent more compared to some other phones, 4 years later the phone is so good that I don't need to buy a new one and waste money, and iOS 15 makes it feel like a new phone.

And also things that are worse or should be updated years ago already and still haven't. For my use case the pros are far better than any cons.

Their battery optimization is much better
Performance is much better
Idk how a six core processor is defeating all these 8 core processors in terms of raw power and efficiency.

Apple makes the best OS ever. It forces all other OS makers to be on their toes.
It force Microsoft from Windows mobile 6.5, to make Win 7 / 8 / 10 / 11 / RT / WinPhone.
It force Android to endlessly update every year.
It killed Nokia for not updating or innovating.

So each brand use different user interface and different update strategy. They care about their customers and not others. Google can't force everyone to update their phones.

Really unhappy with the iPadOS 15. It wastes a lot of space on main screen because of app grid having too big spacing between icons.
