Anonymous, 20 Sep 2021I think this is one if the most boring updates, running 14.... moreIt has some significant changes. Siri being entirely local is a rather huge one. They also have natural OCR where you can just copy text of any kind from images, local and remote. Voice to text dictation is also new. And there is usually bunch of new things that weren't mentioned during any presentation. At least that was the case every year so far. iOS 15 is still exciting, we just have to keep an eye on CSAM thing. That must not slip past.

b0wsey, 20 Sep 2021Goodbye iPhone 12 and previous model performances. That's not how it actually works. There was no performance degradation in fact 3 years old phone feels as fast as ever. Only spot where older ones might be at disadvantage is for neural processing. iOS 15 has entirely local Siri and new phones obviously have faster neural processors. Other than that, I don't expect any "downgrades".

AnonD-959019, 20 Sep 2021The OS is to rolling out or maybe not???It is. This isn't like Android where one may get it today and someone else only next month. Worst I've seen was having to wait till next day depending on how many requests there are and what timezone you're in. At least that was the case for iOS 14. Wasn't for iOS 13. But still, getting it so fast after announcement is stellar experience.

I am running the iOS 15 RC version on my iPhone 12, no stuttering or slowness, only a few bugs. Friends with other models of iPhone 12 and iPhone 11 devices also do not complain.

Still supporting iPhone 6s and original iPhone SE. Amazing.

The fact that iPad Air 2, iPhone 6s and SE 1st generation are all still supported while most of their flagship competitors have long been forgotten. :)

Supported device list is just impressive, no wonder so many switching to iOS

Downloading it today for my 2017 iPad Pro
