An iphone 13 mini it's a proper compact powerhouse for 2021, and samsung or others dont have it anymore...Sony had it for some time with their Z compact series, but not anymore
Apple has the iphone mini and ipad mini that others cannot compete with

The S10e has a 19:9 screen but with pretty much all Samsung phones of today has a 20:9 screen, it's very unlikely that it will be compact enough. Take the case of ASUS Zenfone 8 - I always thought that the 5.9" screen is great until I looked at its dimension and compared it to phones with a 6.0" and 6.1" screen like Google Pixel 5 and Apple iPhone 12 Pro. It turned out that the Zenfone was actually bigger than the Pixel and the iPhone because of its tall 20:9 screen. That is why I still personally believe that a short screen is a right decision for a compact smartphone.

Well, it is now, because no one wanted to buy it at ridiculous asking price and all the cheap plastic used for the case of the phone. It's only months later that it got cheaper. Before it had the same freaking price tag as iPhone 12 (vanilla version). There is no way I'm gonna ever pay over 900€ for a phone with plastic back, no matter how hard everyone is harping about drop resistance of plastics.
