Bloomberg: the iPhone 14 series will be a major redesign, will include a new entry-level model

The 12-series was dedicated to bringing 5G to the iPhone, the 13-series focused on 120Hz displays. With that in place, the 14-series can swing for the fences.

- Screen from QHD to FHD
- IR was removed while ago
- sd slot and earphone jack gone
- Slowly weakened Note until it became S with Pen
- Ultra with better cam system
- exynos non-ultra variant is inferior (CPU, GPU and cam hardware)
- no accessories in the box

Lack of LTPO for non-Ultra is the least problem Samsung has here.

Price was exactly the reason why a lot of people opted-in for cheaper SE or bigger 12 because price difference was marginal. Since price of the mini dropped, sales increased too.

                        Not price.

                        Do not forget SE 2020 is better than 8, much cheaper.
                        And not selling as much as 7 or 8.
                        Once Apple brings new lineup, sales of older devices decrease quickly.

                        Even if Mini was like $500, sales would not be much better.

                        Also, R&D to create Mini is higher than larger phone.
                        You need to find ways to fit same components (except battery) inside smaller phones.
                        Do expect phone like Mini to be sold for $400, when hardware alone must be $300 at least.

                            Just got my first iPhone (13 Pro) last Friday and couldn’t be happier with it. Can’t wait to upgrade to the 14 Pro if they get rid of the notch, although it does not bother me that much now.

                                That's dumb. Why not axe that crappy SE line and make Mini more affordable instead.

                                If these rumors are true, you will be left with only big size phones. Or go for outdated looking SE.
