I do hope Apple releases a matte back finish for all the iPhones next year. I liked that Samsung did that for their S21. Then we got a matte finish on half of the Flip 3s colors. Not that it matters if you plan on using a case.
I've followed phones closely for nearly two decades. It's gotten really stale the last few years with a few exceptions...

Razr series
Duo series
LG Wing
The rest is more of the same. Even the Pixel 6 Pro will get tiresome after a month owning it. A new design from the iPhone 14 and after won't really change things up.
Apple used the same design for 5 years. Now they're going to change things by offering a 2019 design for 2022. Always late to the party.

100% FAKE New, Most of it based on prediction and anybody can guess the most common upcoming feature, it's not rocket science, Google search is full of this kind of information.

Seems to me the iPhone 14 is the going to look like the Galaxy S10e. Punch hole and side fingerprint mount. So Apple is finally entering Samsung's 2019 three years later.

In fairness, who knows how practical rollable or tri-fold phones will really be? Is it just a cool novelty that acts like a cool party trick? All phones get boring. Doesn't matter what it looks like or how many screens it has or if it folds or rolls.
Michael Fisher walked into an Apple Store last weekand nobody seemed to notice his Flip 3. Because at the end of the day, if all you are trying to do is impress random strangers, you really need to find a different hobby. People don't care what phone you use. You'll get more looks driving a nice car. Not some lame phone.

I personally think the iPhone X is the most overrated iPhone model of all-time. The only cool thing it brought was swipe gestures. Something that was introduced like 8 years before. I was using swipe gestures on my HTC One M7 back in 2013. It wasn't new to me to swipe up to go home.
Very pleased we are no longer forced to use Face ID. Even when lying down in bed and in the dark, it won't register. And the camera hump will be gone. We haven't had a flush camera since the 5 series design. The last was from the SE in 2016.
It's just too bad I still hate iOS. Slab designs holds no interest to me. Rather get a dirt cheap LG Wing by next year. Phones like that, the Samsung foldables, and Microsoft Duo bring more fun and excitement. The 14 is just another iPhone. Very boring industry where the only thing is to chase a higher number.

These rumours are ridiculous. No way Apple will ditch Face ID in favour of Touch ID. iPhone 14 will have the same notch as iPhone 13. You heard it here first.

maybe apple will cancelled the punch hole plan AGAIN.
Like what happen before, key leaker said iphone 12 will have 120hz but iphone 12 stay 60 Hz.

I have a bad feeling about something. Remember how vanilla iPhone was priced at current iPhone Mini level before? If they'll sack the Mini for version 14, who wants to bet the vanilla won't take its place, but will instead remain where it is now at solid higher price point? If Apple will actually move vanilla iPhone model down the price stack again, I'll be very surprised. I'm a fan of flush camera lenses and potentially larger battery. Not happy to see FaceID gone. I really like it. Especially not when they are talking about side button and not underdisplay fingerprint scanner. While not as bad as scanner on the back, I'd really prefer one under the display. It's just more natural to use when you have it there in the content area and not somewhere else on the side. Unless Apple surprises me and makes it better to use somehow.

also the article said that the iphone se is the only 4G phone in the lineup
iphone 11 is also the 4G supported and i think the author forget about it
also i dont think that 13 is gonna be worth it (which a still a big upgrade compared to my 11)
im just gonna wait for the 14

Forget iPhone X, XS, XR, 11, 12, and 13. We wasted 5 years needing to deal with an ugly notch and Face ID during a time we are required to wear a mask. This next generation iPhone is the one to get. Side fingerprint scanner is much faster. My Flip 3 is instantaneous.

I would do the same thing, though this would be a huge surprise as Apple seems to be obsessed with Face ID. Maybe they realised that they are not able to achieve Face ID without a notch.
