More rumors claim that Apple will replace the mini with a 6.7" iPhone 14 Max next year

It will combine the size of the 14 Pro Max with hardware of the vanilla iPhone 14.

amazing how the iphone 13 series isnt even delivered to most of the customers who bought it, and everybody already talking about the iphone 14.

so, if the 14 series brings LTPO 120hz to all the phones in the 14 series, why would people even buy any of the 13 series? where the 120HZ can only be found at the pro and pro max..

i truly dont get it.

    The 1st SE came in 2016 recycling a 4 year old iPhone 5 design.
    The 2nd SE came in 2020 recycling a 2014 iPhone 6 design.
    There is literally no way to have a new SE using a fresh iPhone mini design with OLED screen and dual cameras, with the latest SOC on top of it... Adding the never ending chip crysis and the "success" of the 12 mini makes such move a science fiction.
    An iPhone XR body sounds like an option for a new "cheap" SE, if such thing is coming at all in the next couple of years.

      i think the next iphone se will replace the mini in the 14 series , and the 2022 lineup would be Iphone Se 3rd Generation , Iphone 14, Iphone 14 MAX , Iphone 14 pro and the Iphone 14 pro max.
      I would love that the lineup would be different, like instead of a third generatin se , that they stick up with the mini version.

        Anonymous, 29 Sep 2021iPhone mini form factor should be adopted by the SEI think the next SE will be a recycled iPhone XR or 11 with updated internals. iPhone mini doesn't make sense here because it has an OLED panel. No way Apple will sell an OLED phone for 399$. And no, it's not possible to fit an LCD in this body without significant R&D costs.

          This makes sense. It'll never be called Max though, that name is now heavily associated with the top-end iPhone. I think it'll be the iPhone 14 Plus

              Now we are at the awkward mini tablet phase, once foldables become more nature, make no mistake, 8-10 inch phones not only will (they) be a reality but rather the norm in the west.

              People hunger for the biggest screen possible... Don't care about ergonomics. Jobs was both right and wrong (right in thinking that tablets will take over, wrong in thinking that ergonomics like one hand use matters)...

                No, the SE is here to use old tooling and the side bezels are already small enough for a 16:9 display. They won’t introduce 18:9 either. Only hope for a new good small iPhone is when the iPhone 14 has introduced a new design and the by then old iPhone 13/mini design is used for a new generation of SE and SE mini.
                An updated SE (iPhone 8 style) with a new chipset like A14, introduced in Early 2022, still won’t have a great battery life. But I don’t even see that believable because the removal of XR means that you no longer have to choose between newer design and newer chipset (SE vs 11), and an updated SE would reintroduce that dilemma

                        they should make 6.5 for normal iph 14 , pro for 6.8 , pro max for 7.2 inches

                          who cares mini? Apple users don't know anything about specs, if you pay a lot it means you get the best experience. At my place I rarely see iPhone mini.

                            Anonymous, 29 Sep 2021Samsung shpuld use more modern external design like Motorol... morein my opinion, the external display on flip 3 is already doing what is intended to do. more spaces for more notification, personally i think the main function of external display is about tells us what's the notification, and deciding which one is important or not. i'm not going to tyring to reply a message on external display (except the fold 3). and design wise, the flip 3 is much sleeker than the razr, smaller screen than razr helps samsung to make the external design more attractive.

That is why I don't look at the Z Flip as it doesn't look distinctive enough compared to other bar-shaped Samsung smartphones. The new RAZR, both 2019 4G and 2020 5G models, still looks fresh even to this day.

                                    Z Flip looks like makeup case and not phone when folded.

                                      Basically, a vanilla iPhone with a larger screen. Kinda like Galaxy S20+ and S21+ to me. I don't mind if Apple resurrects the X, XS, and 11 Pro body and update it with 2022 hardware. 5.8" with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio sounds like a good balance to me. Samsung got it all right the first time out with the Galaxy S10e.
