They still get to decide if or when you get an update, basically based on what SIM card you activate your phone with. Deliberately designed like that by Google to allow a network carrier to make your 1,000+ buck phone obsolete in a couple years.

For the ones who updated, tell us of any improvements from it. I've seen a video of virtual RAM added. Did the update improve battery life and make it smoother? My Flip 3 has tons of bugs. Folding display is still new tech and still needs tons of polish.

My Flip3 is still on the July update here in Ireland.

I only got the September security fix two days ago. It's taking Samsung an age to rollout updates to these phones outside Korea.
I'm comparing to my previous Pixel 3 which was updates first Monday of every month without fail.
