Samsung's 6.1-inch Galaxy S22 will reportedly make up more than half the series' production

02 October 2021
The new report claims Samsung aims for its entry-level S22 to account for up to 60% of total shipments with the S Pen-clad Ultra model to account for 30%.

In spite of these fortune tellers i predict there will be no more S22 Ultra.
Only the S22 and S22+ will come out. The + model will have S-pen support.

The integrated S-pen will be reserved for the Note 22. Yes you hear me right. Just guessing, but this is the only right logic. Why ditch the real Note fans?

What Note?? S22 Ultra IS Note just renamed S... clearly they wanted to unify and integrate Note with the S series so their August second releases arent with Notes which are the same with S but with S-pen now August will always be dedicated to Fold and Flip. Its not so hwrd just think about it. Its logical and to those saying Note is dead, NO its not, its just RENAMED. Honestly I don't care its called S22 Ultra. I know its in fact Note 22.

You can't even compare an iphone with the recent flagships from different brands.. They're introducing features that the android base phone have since 2017.. no even mention the chargers, wireless charging, inverse charging etc.. The camera setup is 6/10.. the telephoto is a shame, the night photos are a shame, etc.. again, is a medium-high range phone

Thank God they finally realized people don't need massive phones only. I can only wish for a battery life equivalent to Iphone 13's.

The 13 mini takes 20W, the Samsung 25W. The CPU will be more efficient than the 4nm S21. It will also have an unrivalled GPU. And not that stupid notch. In short, pros and cons for two compact sizes. Those who like iOS will go to Apple and the others to Samsung.

A 600 dollar plus Phone with plastic ba... moreAbove 400 ppi on a 6 inch screen you can't see any pixels and the back of a Galaxy S is systematically covered by a silicone shell so what's the point of a glass back apart from the weight and risk of breakage? Samsung's difference lies in Android support, they have to go for five major updates guaranteed, this is much more important than the back that we never see. Also Samsung has mastered the production of OLED screens, I have no doubt that the S22 will have the same display quality as the latest iPhones as they are the ones supplying the hardware. You have to understand that Samsung also supplies batteries, photo sensors, processors, RAM, storage, modems, etc... to Chinese assemblers, so even if you buy Huawei or Xiaomi, there's Samsung inside.

Samsung should realize that a cut throat competition with Chinese makers will not lead to anywhere. It will be suicidal for Samsung.

Only two scenarios I can see it selling:

1) It's cheaper than the iPhone 13 (non Pro)
2) It's got an advanced camera system that rivals the iPhone 13 series (which is doubtful because of the GN5)

pangolinpanda, 02 Oct 2021They should have continued making successors to Mi 9 SE.Totally agree.

In fact it seems that a phone similar to the new civi may be coming. Looking forward to it.

Higher than de 9se, but more or less of the same width

6,1 inch is to small for me

* Insert that what she said joke here *

I'm also very happy with me S20FE

Let's face reality. Samsung is on a suicide road. Plastic back for the vanilla S22 is stupid. A screen resolution of 1080 X 2400 which is a joke for a flagship device costing 700 dollars. The iphone 13 mini has a 1080 X 2400 resolution and it's 5.4 inches compared to 6.1 for S22. A battery of 3700 mAh (down from 4000 mAh) for S22 is suicide cuz it's direct competitor will be the iphone 13 and Apple has significantly increased battery life on all iphone 13 models whereas Samsung is planning to do the opposite.

I hope it will be a mega-seller and, in general, smaller devices will find their way back to interested customers. Not everyone wants a big phone. Though the bigger audience may be the phablet-users, but their should be a choice for everyone.

6.1 inch to s22 it perfect, and it s a flagship, so what do you want more? It S the Galaxy S,line up, it S not a spaceship it S S phone good for its money, the charger it's the problem, they Don t include it in the box, for that you should not buy it, Apple Shit logistic. They copy one/another. The technology exists, they just use it every year to have something in the hand.

S22 must be with dual. Sim option and should have additional card slot too.

  • Rickroll

They should've stick with 6.2inch for the base model. It such a sweet spot for display, not too big, not too small. If they do put a slower cpu and smaller battery on it then, I say no no.
