And increased camera rings/housing just to make cameras look huge while it is not true at all. Main sensor is 1/1.7", Ultra-Wide is 1/3.4" which is tiny, also same size telephoto.

Very very few does that, and even if they do, so what? They can sell their old phone with very good price especially if it's iPhone. You won't need to spend much for newer model and then again if you want to upgrade when newer model comes your one year old model have really high resell value. Suddenly $1000 phone is like $300-400

This is like saying to guitarist, why buy $2000 guitar when you can get guitar for $200. They both play same, but not really and the more you play the bigger the difference is. The difference is in details and those details cost a lot. If you don't value those details that's ok, nothing wrong with that. Just means you can buy cheaper devices without losing much.
I just upgraded my 11 pro to 13 pro and the camera quality difference is just huge. I expected minor difference.

rizki1, 05 Oct 2021i hate expensive phones, a phone with price $500 is nothing... moreI agree for 'normal ' people a mid range phone is more than good enough. I have a Samsung S21, it has a high refresh rate screen which I've adjusted to 60hz . I have wireless charging I've never used. It has Ip68,which I suppose is nice but in reality isn't critical for me. The processor and camera are things that I can't tell if are high end or not. I do like the software support but again for many they wouldn't have clue about. Even 5g is hardly a noticeable game changer.
