A lot of this is just hype. Real results will be similar to iPhone 12 mini sales but even worse. Because reality doesn't equate to people typing how excited they are by commenting on a phone site like this or on YouTube.

Anonymous, 07 Oct 2021Why?It is not so easy to just start out of nowhere and start making sensors, good sensors, plus optics and all, they have zero expertise in it.
For phones there are basically only three main companies that make sensors: mainly Sony, then Samsung and OmniVision.

If anything it might be like the galaxy note 8 cause of the strip running at the back packing cameras

Why do they keep bumping up prices. Honestly, oneplus 7 hardware that was so so very similar to pixel 4a that came 2 years after (with same price) is more than enough. I don't know why they try to cram more insignificant tech in there, and remove nice components like 3.5 jacks and then mark the price up 1.5x or more. I'm refusing to break the CAD$550 to chase upgrades...

Andrew, 07 Oct 2021With such a big hype there could be some disappointment wit... moreThe device was good when it came out, but Android 11 completly ruined the phone: bad battery life, slow updates (3-4 month old security patches, guess Android 12 will come in march 2022 bust like 7t last year...), camera far behind pixel phones, they move away from stock android... Not sure why, but Oneplus managed to make their device worse with every update.. Sad, because it was good at first..

I m so hyped... moreWith such a big hype there could be some disappointment with pixel devices, they are using new hardware we don't know how it will work, Oneplus 8 Pro is a very good device so i doubt there will be some drastic improvments after switching
