Necro, 07 Oct 2021I was really rooting for Google with Pixel 6 series but it ... moreX70 Pro+ is super phone and one of the best camera phones this year, yet how it is that better in "nearly every way"? Also don't compare its China prices to global market, because it would be a lot more expensive in EU or US.
X70 Pro+ and 6 Pro will be rocking same top end screens. Pixel 6 Pro probably will have better camera performance, with Main and Zoom, but probably will be behind with Ultra-Wide. Not to mention Live HDR for video. Will have in house chip which will allow better optimization, for actual performance and battery (besides having bigger battery), and not to mention better ISP and Neural Core, also one of more important things 4 to 5 years of updates, clean Android with Pixel only features. Will also have Ultra-wideband, going to have great Amp, LDAC, dual speakers, smart AI and many other things.

I was really rooting for Google with Pixel 6 series but it looks like its gonne be dead on arrival since theres the excellent Vivo X70 Pro+ which is better in nearly every way except a slightly smaller battery and being Android 11 at the same price.

Mainstream fragrances, drinks like Cola, certain brand headphones, buds that sells yet sounds meh and etc.
Going mainstream is a lot of times going down in quality or just marketing.

I will replace my oneplus6t with it. Google offers 5years of updates, monthly security updates and clean software and this is enough for some. Don't care about the processor since I don't need lates chip and for what I use the phone is enough.

Not like Apple making huge camera rings/housing to make look like Apple use huge sensors, while it is not true at all.

M, 07 Oct 2021No it’s not a great deal...6 Pro - top end specs (except for meh Ultra-Wide sensor, still larger than UW on 13 Pro Max though), leading camera among phones, 4 to 5 years of updates. If it costs around 1000 Euros/Dollars it is great price compared to the competition.

iPhone’s 12 MP camera is far better than Samsung’s 105 MP camera. Google has made a great mistake using Samsung’s camera. I love everything of Google 6 except the devices which are taken from Samsung.
