iOS 15 adoption still trails iOS 14 two weeks after release

According to the research, the iOS 15 adoption is almost two time slower than that of iOS 14.

    1. Most iPhone users have their phone set to auto-update. It won't auto-update to iOS.
    2. When you check for a software update and are on 14.8.1, it will tell you that your software is up to date. You have to scroll down to see that iOS 15 is available.

    This is why only people who know the whole story should be commenting.

        There are a couple of reasons why:

        1. Most iPhones are on auto-update. It won't auto update to iOS 15.
        2. When you check to see if your software is up to date, it will tell you it is at iOS 14.8.1. You have to scroll further down to see that iOS 15 is available.

        I wouldn't read any more into it as 99% of iPhone users don't read tech websites.

                          there is only one reason why people wait. ios used to be solid software, but latest two big ios versions were complete mess with bugs on their releases. this is why people wait... for 15.1 (incl. me)

                                    Just for the scan text and add it to any field is worth in gold's weight. Automation has also been improved and new Focus is much more flexible. I did notice some apps aren't as responsive for certain actions (like back command in Reddit often just stalls and does nothing and then catches up), but other than that it's working pretty flawlesly on my iPhone. I don't use Safari though, a lot of minor issues seem to be there alone.
