10 October 2021
The beta was the most downloaded beta in Android history - was that just bored geeks or are people genuinely excited by what Google has cooked up?

I am using an Xperia XZ1 Compact since the end of 2017, and I'm happy with it, only the photo is outdated otherwise it does everything as on the first day and I don't need Android 12 with all its features.

All I can say is that scrollable screenshots are a must! I've been using this feature on my Samsung S8+ since day one and it's just awesome! Glad to see it finally reach other Android phones.
Also, I'm hyped about the new themes that change with the wallpaper.

Its just nothing compared iOS update and its changes. Big Love and Respect for Apple.

my phone is 3.5 years old and I will be using android10 until I get a new one (probably 2023). I have never changed a phone sooner than 4 years. so,i might jump directly to android13 out of the box :)

The main thing I see folks complain about with a new OS update is bugs so the best thing to do is just wait for a while till the main bugs are sorted and then update to it. If you happy with what you're using then stick with it you don't have to download new updates and if you simply can't wait and can put up with the inevitable teething problem bugs go ahead and update your phone. If your phone is a little older and not gonna get the latest version it will still work perfectly fine for next 4-5 years. I was using a Moto X 2014 on android 6 marshmallow till last year and it worked flawlessly. I only changed my phone (reluctantly) because my banking app stopped being supported and it's one I need to work but am very happy with the Poco X3 NFC I replaced it with and it doesn't take long to get used to a different skin and unlike many people I think MIUI is great to use. The X3 is on the list for Android 12 and I will download it at some point when it becomes available for this device but I'm definitely not gonna be checking to see if it's available every 5 minutes.

I am sure I will receive the Android 12 update but not sure whether I will like it or not.

Wait, where's the answer "I don't really care"?
The answer with "..as long as i get security updates" is not good either. I changed my phone because I couldn't install newer games because my google play couldn't update because my OS version was out of date because the phone was ~ 4 years old.

Afaik what Android brings, can be added in different UIs. Since you can not possibly change Android, you can more easily (possibly) change UI. The poll should be "Do I value Android more than different UIs"

I'm sticking with Android 9 because 10 introduced a bunch of restrictions in the name of security which broke functionality of apps I rely on.

I can't understand what this poll is about.
This looks more like, will I get Android 12 update in my phone? If not will I stay with my phone? Or buy a new phone? Will it be an iPhone?

Since everyone is getting HRR screens they should have atleast utilized that in AOS12. Apps dev will just turn on that hrr for their app if its supported of course.

Why is everything slowly turning to be like, "bubbly?" From the initial looks, it's a wannabe iOS. Please, please, don't. Can't stand all these curve these and curvy that. Even the Android widgets are slowly looking like the current lame iOS widgets on the homescreen. NOOOOOOOOO!!!!
