Maybe you are not updated to the 2020's yet but gaming phones can be used with gamepad nowadays. Most mobile games are free to download and play and can be enjoyed just fine without spending much money. Even premium games from well-known developers like Square are not that expensive compared to console ones.

Anonymous, 08 Oct 20211 year max supportNot true. Black Shark gives at least 2 years of software support. The BS1 got updated from Android 8 to 10. If you look at other gaming phones, Asus ROG Phone and Red Magic only got 1 year of update.

That's already better than the same year Asus ROG Phone that only got up to Android 9. For the BS4 and 4S, we can expect at least 2 years of updates.

Gaming phones used to have for advantage to always get no stupid hole/notch, a Jack and a flat display.
Xiaomi tried to make the Black Shark without the Jack and ended up realizing it was a bad idea and included it since the 3 series, now with the 4 they put the hole in.
They never learn their darn lesson...
Funny part is, all the first Black Shark had a main + Telephoto camera setup, then the 3 had a 13Mp Ultra-Wide, and now the 4 have a 8Mp Ultra-Wide...
The smartphone market is a joke, it is exactly as if they made a list of all the good decisions and decided to never do any of them, and to commit to try their best to fulfill the list of bad decisions...
Imagine if they made a 4 Ultra with :
*Top bezel of the 3/3Pro.
*Same main camera (Samsung GW3), but a couple of IMX586 (main camera of the 2/2 Pro, ~20$ each not accounting for mass order price cut), one for the Ultra-Wide, the second for a 2x or 3x Telephoto.
*OIS for all 3 sensors.
*A darn SD card slot!
*Wi-Fi 6E.
*5000mAh battery of the 3 Pro.
And smart marketing to not only target gamers, the phone would sell so well even if it would be slightly more expensive!

omg with switch and steam deck coming, I totally want this android phone to play those awesome pay to win so called games that have no story and play it on glorious touch screen. who need mouse and joypad?

it doesnt matter since is a gaming phone it will make average to terrible photos.
Nobody buys gaming phone for photography.
For that case M11 ultra is great where anyone can have best camera phone of the year with a gaming specs.
