Two separate bugs impact the performance of AMD processors with the new OS version. The fix should be ready by the end of the month.

AnonD-731363, 08 Oct 2021Man linux is bad for gaming and gamers. Not every game works, but a lot of them do. Steam works fine and lots of games on that platform, check ProtonDB for Windows only games.
Also with the Steam Deck release things are just gonna get better and better.

Guys you should leave Windows, Mac and Linux. You should definitely use Solaris OS, or HP-UX.

And try to use them for a decade.

One more reason do not install/upgrade to Windows 11 untill Microsoft released Windows 12.

This is what you get for buying second rate CPU’s. Its always something with AMD , rubbish drivers , bios update messes everywhere and issues with windows…

and you won't report on the fact that if you buy a prebuilt right now (with windows 11 installed) it will be slower in most games than it is if you just built it yourself (by 10 to 30% slower, depends on the game).

Intel and Microsoft are at it again probably.

Apparently my 3700X and 2060 aren't eligible lol. I wasn't planning to upgrade anyway. Probably switching to Linux when they make gaming viable.

Gonna come here to the comment section and recommend Linux once again. Give it a try, there's nothing to lose, spin up a live distro and play around without even installing it.

It's funny how these bugs only happen to AMD CPUs and the blame is put on Microsoft, but when bugs affect Intel CPUs the blame is always Intel's.
