Leakster: the Dimensity 2000 will be made on the TSMC 4nm node, use Cortex-X2 and Mali-G710

08 October 2021
The new Snapdragon and Exynos will also use the X2, but fabbed on Samsung's 4 nm node.

Its funny for last decade i mean past 10 years every flagship CPU and GPU is 20-30% faster better and more reliable than previous flagship GPU and CPU and yet phones endurance rating and capabilities to run some certain games or applications is litterary same.
So along 100 hours of endurance rating and not more than 6-8 on a heavy gaming (i mean when yiou run certain game which is difficult for ram CPU and GPU ike i play clash of lords 2)
Any average phone ast 6-8 hours from 100% untill battery dies.

Looks like Mediatek will do the same thing to Qualcomm like AMD did with Intel.

Good on MediaTek! They're the 1st on TSMC's 4nm process. Even the A15 is still on 5nm. Hope they become the market leader this year in flagship processors (they're already the leader in everything else).

These speed increases are largely irrelevant unless they can run without thermal throttling - like all current SoCs

Qualcom cant even catchup to apple M1 and it's over price inlcluding the M1 is easy to make compared to the desktop chip.

and including other manufacturer catching up to QUALCOM has innovation at stale they playing catch up them sleves. telling to improve and make the technology better

Innovation getting slower because APPLE high end chips compared to qualcom actualy slow but the prices are higher they should not raise the price of their chips including TSMC foundry Monopolistic action even mediatek at stale and even qualcom cause they only providing slow processor chips and even battery performance is terrible the nodes and other parts of the CHIP needed an improvent.

QUALCOM can't even catch up to M1 CHIP on APPLE and the price is higher they should lower that is small compared to CPU chips were littery overprice by now some should step up making chips.

TSMC does not have the capacity to supply everyone so they may not have been able to take Qualcomm's order due to limited capacity. Apple probably gets first priority.

I had wondered about it bcoz in GSMA database, many MTK/Kirin/Exynos phones had Mali gpus, but some with MC & others with MP. For eg: my Dim1200 has G77-MC9, but Exy1080/2100 has G78-MP10/14, while Kirin 9000 has G78-MP24, but the perf doesn't scale very well I think b/w the no of cores
