So no reason to make Play 2.

Had Xperia Z3. Was great. Sony phones aren't bad at all. But Samsung is improving too. It isn't laggy anymore.

Curved screen = fragile, hard to apply protection, glare, reflection on edges, more colour shift, less internal space for components than if it was flat.

I'd be delighted if Sony launch a new generation model of the Xperia 10 Plus. I always love that phone because of the same 6.5" screen as in the Xperia 1. I don't care much about the camera since I have my Alpha Mirrorless FF camera to play with.

If only sony would launch their phones on time and get their production line corrected. They brought back the market & hardware, but they just cant get the product to markets in time... I'd argue Sony just sell Xperia's Direct to consumer and stop trying to get them into big box stores.

Look at iphone 13 mini.
Can you have same cam system of 13 pro inside it? No.
Can you fit battery large enough to deal with 120Hz? No.
Pointless to make a 5" 21:9 Xperia that would be less than 13cm tall when you cannot have cam system of 5iii. When you cannot fit more than 2800mAh which would never deal with SD888 + 120Hz. Screen would be too narrow to use Pro apps and bad handling. Phone would be narrower than Z3c.
The XZ2c did not even have space for the DVS.
While the 1 series is by far the most popular of all 21:9 Xperia, a Compact would be the least again.
Only Z3c and Z1c had significant sales compared to large version (despite the fact Z1 and Z3 were the #1 and #2 best sellers of all Xperia history).
The other four Compacts were easily beaten.

Zenfone 8 is the evidence that they still can do everything right with small phone. Especially these days with smaller manufacturing process, lesser heat and longer battery life is very possible unlike those days.
