    We literally know about it officially since August 2, when Google OFFICALLY announced it.

      This camera bump isn't ugly, and it is actually much better looking than the stove.
      But as usual, people hate it because it isn't the trending design/feature and for no other reasons, and if roles were reversed they would be praising with the same total lack of valid reasons they currently hate it.

      It is symmetrical, it isn't protruding much more than the stove that many used to hate until it become trending and is now "mysteriously" loved, it is the same layout as the beloved S10 one, yet it is ugly, sure.

        Anonymous, 13 Oct 2021If only samsung is usong ultrassonic, it is because none el... moreNo, it is because the smartphone market have sworn to make smartphone user's life as bad as possible by always making the wrong choice, because of people like you spreading misinformation and hating on non-trending things just because they aren't trending.

        The ONLY example prior to the S21 we had was the S10, Note10, S20 and Note20 ALL using THE SAME FPS, all from A SINGLE maker (Qualcomm), all with A SINGLE implementation both hardware and software, which by the way was poorly done.
        Optical FPS were much worse at their beginning, and gen2 was still bad, here the S21, the second gen, is already faster, more reliable and more secure than any optical FPS, Meizu with their 18th series also put an ultrasonic one which ended up also being the fastest in-display FPS available.
        And we are still only using less than 10% of the potential of this tech which is MUCH more secure and better than optical FPS already, and unlike optical ones, they can't be used as a cheap spying camera which is by itself another big pro.
        Seeing through a display is a stupid idea, there is a reason medical ultrasound scanners use ultrasound and aren't just trying to shine a super bright light on you while pressing a camera at the same spot.

        As usual in the smartphone market, the ONLY reason why we don't get the best thing, is because haters who don't know anything about what they are spiting on (and as usual on GSMArena it is an anonymous user doing it right here), showed a big negative view toward something for no justified reasons that they would be sheeping if it was trending but are spiting on it because it is not.

          Ohhh another Pixel fail incoming...
          Its really ugly, but to be honest i never buy a phone because of how it looks, always hide it in a flip case.

          The camera bump hmm, it can be pretty useful like my former S21 ultra and my present mi 11 ultra, its actually really good when i have it on the table in front of me.

          But have to see a successful Pixel before i try this again.
          So Pixel 7 maybe or this day Google not own it any longer.

I personally prefer it to look like a galaxy than a Chinese phone with a generic design

                      I'm not a fan of this design. I would start by moving the hole punch to the top left, get rid of the ridiculous camera bump that goes all the way cross the phone, then finally make the non-pro version a bit smaller.

                        Much blah blah blah, Google has spent money on advertising, it is the first time this has happened, but nothing has come out that talks about the fingerprint sensor, what will it be? ultrasonic or optical, knowing google if it were ultrasonic they would be screaming at all winds, it smells like an optical sensor and if so it will be ruled out of my purchase instantly

                          just like the pixel 4 (which was a disaster) everything about this damn phone is leaked months before the actual announcement, google will have nothing to add to these leaks
