What I do hate is how furiously people hate on Apple and talk s**t about it just to do exactly what you say I think I'm doing. Changing minds. It's people who s**t on everything Apple and claim it's literally the worst of the worst and won't ever acknowledge good things they have that aren't challenged by anyone in the industry. Every time I bring up longevity of updates, few scrubs will ALWAYS crash in spitting and hissing left and right how iOS is literally the worst thing ever and how updates are fake and how nothing matters because Android is embodied perfection.

I don't care about shipments. How about sales? Samsung has a ton of phones in different price points. They're kinda becoming what Nokia was 20 years ago. Nokia was the dominant player and was quite creative. Samsung is the only one really trying to innovate.
Shocking how much Huawei has fallen. Trump really killed them off.

Samsung knows that it will maintain its no.1 spot for a very long time to come. From the Exynos 2200 to it's tab S8 Ultra and next year's Z Flip and Fold 4 series, Xiaomi taking Samsung's podium was a once off thing!

Sigh, "that everyone must own an iphone so I feel more validated mindset" should be listed as some type of mental disorder. It's probably not, because there are so many millions that that think the same way, thus making it a norm.

Xiaomi became no 1 with around 50m devices while usually Samsung ship around 80m phones per quarter.

After using iPhone for 3 years now, there is no replacement for it when you care about things outside of just raw specs. I'll take Apple's updating over any hardware spec in a heartbeat. Being able to actually update things the moment you see update being live and that being done on time without exception for 3 years is just outstanding. I can't stress enough how annoying it was to wait for weeks and months to receive update on my phone because I had "wrong" internal verison or "wrong" region. Meanwhile people with same Galaxy or same Mi model received them long ago. This crap just doesn't exist with Apple and I love it.

In 2020 Apple moves the introduction to October. Thus the 3% increase this year were not really a market gain over last year.
