The M1 was slower than a regular laptop 1050...so this means that the M1 Max is around a laptop 1080 which is still far behind a high-end gaming laptop of 2021 with a 130W 3080 or above.
But fanboys will still believe it's the best thing on the planet when YouTubers show 60 fps on a 4-year-old game.

MacBook with M1 Pro is 2000 dollars in US so it be probably a lot over 2000 Euro in Europe.
For 2000 euro you probably get high end graphics card in the laptop with the most high end intel or AMD processor. Never mind that laptops with windows you get for all types of price point and even 300 euro laptop will satisfy most people who use the laptop for work like the usual exel mails and web browser tasks as the laptops that are made for not gaming or 3d designing or anything hard like that. You probably get a laptop for 1000 euro that do all these tasks too if there is software for them. I know apple have some specific software that is used for modeling and design and you cant get that with windows or linux

There are things like distribution (they certainly wouldn't want something like Steam instead of their own appstore so that they can get that sweet 30% cut), drivers, optimisations, compatibility, etc
