Second is that atleast windows phone isn't a copied product and it has excellent UI which is standard on all phones and uses its resources optimally.
WP can do 80% of what android tries to do on a quad core processor, on a single core processor and never lags.

windows phones missing some very elementary functions. I tried to use WP for few days- this was nightmare....
Main disapointments:
- No quick search and easy dialing (using 1 hand)
- No posibility to swich bt; wifi; airplane mode and other power function using one button
- Stupid volume control (if you set phone in to vibro or silent mode tis is not means that your phone will be in silent mode after you start to play some games or run other app)
- lack of personalization
- bad internet connectivity comparing with android os or iOS.
I can list much more, this is just few.

To correct u, 7.8 is coming and yes its delayed beacause they want to give good set of software updates to existing users. As i said before even every android phone gets delayed updates beacause the OEMs have to customize their entire UI stack..be it touchwiz on samsung or sense on HTC.
Seriously once again .. how old r u ? just curious to know looking at ur comments .. :P

Android 5.1 on 2GB ram with 8 core Samsung S4 : waiting for Android 5.3 in which further optimization will fix care of the hanging, lag & battery issue.
meanwhile: 2 year old wp7.5 with 1 GHz single core processor and 512 mb ram - still running like a baws :)

And The build quality of Samsung is also rubbish , Cheap plastic body and poor displays which will break by even falling once on the ground.
That's what something you want from your phone after paying too high price for it??

You just can't not use a phone properly then complain it has lag or crashes. People here that use phone skills and hav no problems with android.
Anyway millions of android phones are sold without
users returning them, meaning they are happy with it.

well android (with 4 cores/ 8 cores/ 100 cores/ whatever) did not have the pinch zoom feature in gmail ... really ?? shame. It took them so long to add this simple feature ???.

Its been 5 months since jelly bean was launched and how many galaxy S2s are running jelly bean ... ???
Also windows phone is better because it knows that after november it is december but android doesn't even know that .. cannot trust this stupid OS .. lol

And if you do know a 1GHz Dual Core processor with 1GB RAM is enough to run Windows 7 on a PC which is far more heavy and mature OS than any of the Android Versions.

When Android came into existence no other mobile company had a true smartphone OS other than Nokia, so everyone started putting Android into their phones just to produce some Smartphones.
About number of apps , when almost all companies started producing Android devices, the number of Android devices grew significantly faster in market. App Developers also moved to Android apps, because they also wanna earn more, make more profits and get some fame.
Even if it is a OS full of shits and couldn't manage the resources properly. Only sucking the battery and hardware.
And an Oct-Core Android would be a total nonsense. I wonder if it'll last more than 6 hours because resource management is too poor on Android OS.
I am still not afraid of calling Symbian a true smartphone OS because it takes care of everything in a pretty better way than any other OS at present.
As you can easily see at the 1GHz Single core processor and 512MB Symbian will run very smoothly whereas Android will face significant lags and crashes at same configuration.

Android is far from the most innovative OS. Anyone claiming so is a true, biased, blinded fanboi. I have a Nokia Lumia 920, and I've never had bugginess, crashes, reboots, or any of the those issues. I DID have that happen with the 4 Android phones I'd owned.
