Reports suggest iPhone SE 3 is coming with LCD next spring

It will be based on the iPhone XR and will have a side-mounted Touch ID.

Then I mainly hope for a 5"-phone and a battery capacity of 2942mAh (or more) as in the iPhone XR.

                      Previous rumors claimed that the iPhone SE 3 would be an iPhone SE 2 with A15 and 5G.
                      Judging from previous patterns, it would have to be an iPhone 11 with A15 (and 5G).
                      Now this throws in a side-mounted TouchID Sensor. Of course, that is possible, the iPad Air also used the iPad Pro shell but had a TouchID sensor instead of keeping the FaceID of the Pro.
                      The iPhone SE 2020 was 50$ cheaper compared to the iPhone 8 (449$).
                      Right now the iPhone 11 is selling for 499$. That could justify a cut in features like FaceID. But “based on the iPhone XR” would also mean it would lose the ultra wide camera. At that point, you’d really start to argue whether to buy the SE3 with the newer chip or a leftover stock 11 with the second camera and FaceID. I know there is some debate between FaceID vs TouchID. But that second camera missing would make it strange. The SE 2016 lost the shiny edges and the SE 2020 lost 3D Touch, all of those had at least somewhat controversial use (like FaceID vs TouchID). But the second camera missing would make it harder to justify.

                        That means it'll have:

                        6.1 inch 720p lcd display
                        Punch hole
                        Side mounted fingerprint reader

                        Quite different to a regular iPhone.

                          SE 4 should be based on the 13 mini.
