Lack of GMS is okay to me but the device itself is quite disappointing as price seems rather high for a 778 and of course this being just another brick

There's a Realme GT 5G for example that gives you snappy 888, oled 120Hz also, good cameras too, stereo speakers which Nova 9 doesn't have (?) and costs you 400 from Europe with 2yr warranty...plus, it has google services...

Mate 40 Pro, no OIS.
The differences are minimal, u cant even tell it even in lowlight situation.

X70 pro is much more expensive and not global available yet. Realme gt has an awful camera compared to this one and oneplus 8 pro cost that much used. On the used market you can find p40 pro for 400.

This phone is pointless. I don't understand why they've bothered selling it outside of China. Even if you were a die hard fan who would choose this over, say, a second-hand (or refurbished) Huawei P40 Pro? At least that has 5G and the possibility of side-loading GMS to make it more useable.
