Been using a cell phone since Christmas 1999 since the Audiovox 9155-GPX. But my passion for them started because of flip phones back in 2004. They're the most practical form factor for me. No worries of screen damage like this...

Favorite Phone Form Factors
1. Clamshell AKA flip phones
2. Book-type like a Z Fold
3. Slab/candy-bar
4. Sliders (never got into them)
Rollables and tri-folds are novelties. Tri-folds is just a concept while rollables are like these erection phones. I saw the Oppo rollable phone that Yugatech used. It's already large and it gets larger. Novelty will wear off quickly.
I'm settling with only flip phones with fold types for media consumption. The rest are just too exposed for damage. Some flip phones have the best phone designs ever from Motorola V600 to Razr 5G and Galaxy Z Flip 3.

tbh the design is ugly. Could have just continued with pixel 5 design. Nvr gonna buy. No matter the price or features.

I really don't know how many users like to use pure android I can't imagine to have a phone without a sexy skin.

The 4 was a little tall and had that bigger forehead for Soli. Weighed 14g than the regular 3 and 19g over the regular 2 and 4a. The 3a, 4a 5G, and 5a are like an iPhone XR and 11 in size range around 151-155 mm tall.
I don't really pay much attention to the Pixel a-series. If it's not a flagship, I don't bother. The only one I was interested was the 4a because of its size. But why bother with that SoC when my 3's Snapdragon 845 is superior to it?
Pixels' luster declined once the 4 was released. The 6 is not bringing it back that luster.

Not available in South Africa unfortunately 😕 would love to have this alongside my Mate 40 Pro and 11 Pro Max,always good to have a mix of all worlds.

Im, I ordered both pixel 6 and pixel 6 pro.
Why? Simple when you have a look on market all.is same, pixel looks great and only I'm worried is heating from processor, all know samsung does sd888 and is crap, where samsung own is similar, so I hope google take care of cooling.
If keep me all day on battery I don't mind slower speed of charging.
I know many of you will say for that money I can have this and that.
Believe me I was already try this and that.
So hope this will nice piece of phone working properly without heating and running all day.

I'll... moreI still love the Pixel 3 design to date. 18:9 screen with just enough bezel to fit the front wide+ultrawide camera and front stereo speakers? That definitely gets my vote. Shame that the chipset has now started to show its age.

No, not all phones can do that. As far as I'm aware, only Huawei and LG phones can do that natively. Neither Samsung nor Apple gives the ability to hide the notch or punch hole from the Settings. Google did try hiding the notch before with the Pixel 3 XL, but it's not brilliant.

Vivo X5max only has 5.1mm thickness and yet it still has a headphone jack. I always stay away from any kinds of adapters and cable dongles since it increases the wear damage of the USB-C port.

Ok maybe better speaker quality is an advantage.
Anyways, google has a better camera and a slightly worse display. But it's $400 less.
To be fair though, if you want to be one of those people who still complain about lack of jack and holes in the display, xperia is like the only option.

The Pixel line reached its peak with the 2 and 3. I'll say the regular 3 is the GOAT Pixel sounding biased since I own it, but people also love the 3 XL and got over the notch. Ever since the 2 and 3, Pixels have gotten worse next to Android.
It's crazy to think the Pixel 4 and 3 / 3 XL still rank as the 2nd and 3rd most powerful Pixels out there with SoCs still above the 3a, 4a, 4a 5G, 5, and 5a. Google is reselling outdated SoCs for discounted prices. Upper mid-range SoCs won't age as well as a flagship SoC.
The penguin/panda 2 XL is the most beautiful Pixel ever made. But the display was trash from LG. It looks more of the XL of the regular 3. The white 4 is also up there in design. Has panda vibes but I can't stand Face ID type security and the 4's battery life was even worse than the regular 3. Same battery size but with 90 Hz.
