Juan B is not afraid of pointing the CONS, this is why he does not get review units from few brands.
One important tech site pointed pixel 5 as one of best phones of 2020. That is ridiculous when it is worse than pixel 4 and many other 2019 flagships.

I do not know where this person gets info from. But all were right.

Mixed feelings about the in-screen fingerprint scanner. Like why is that necessary? It can't be cheaper or easier to manufacture and when I pick up my phone I don't want to start using it with my giant thumb in the way. This seems regressive in every way, just like face unlock was in the middle of a pandemic

If they are too close to each other then obviously the camera won't try to switch to the telephoto lens because it can't lock focus onto it.

I won't believe its video quality is actually worse than Pixel 5 given the massive increase in the sheer amount of light intake. That sounds completely bogus to me, I'm afraid.

I was watching a youtube live now, the guy has been testing the 6 and 6 Pro. He says the photography is the best in any smartphone now. Astrophotography and night photo are very good. Video is good but doesn't beat the iPhone. Performance is on par with the best of the best. Battery is pretty good. Screen pretty good with awesome brightness.
All going good for the pixel's, seems Google has a winner. If only they can make it available in sufficient volume...

Just saying

Anonymous, 25 Oct 2021Gsmarena, it seems that the Pixel 6 Pro often chooses 4.3x ... moreYes and no , from what I've read and seen , up to 4-4.3X magnification the phone uses it's laser TOF to determine what are you are aiming at , if it's close it uses the main camera sensor using digital zoom by cropping , if it's far away instead it uses the tele sensor.
I'm not expert but I believe there must be a valid reason if google decide this behaviour.

Gsmarena, it seems that the Pixel 6 Pro often chooses 4.3x digital zoom instead of the 4.3x periscope camera, even in decent light conditions. This would be terrible. 4.3x digital zoom has an effective resolution of 12.5 megapixels /4.3² = 0.68 megapixels.

Same way they did not want to mention the downgrades samsung performed on S21/21+ compared to 20 series.
According to very reliable people, 6 pro is not best at anything.
CPU would be weaker than 865, videocquality not better than pixel 5, daylight photos on pair with other and worse at night.
By obviously many on youtube shall try to fool you. Same way some praised a lot the cine mode of iphone, when photography website has shown it is very badly done.
Wait until phone is shipped and talk to owners.
Much better.
