If you see notch while watching videos, notch is your smallest problem. It means you are stretching your video over edge of screen and cutting big part of your video and it just look silly.

You run the phone and what. Samsung internet and google chrome are preinstalled and are mandatory apps thius both cant be deleted just take valuable disk space and ram.
Those lot of people really dont need 2 same apps which does same things.
Same for many other apps which does same tricks like the ones which they already have from google.
By the way any user can download and install lot better apps from playstore to stop using Samsung or google ones.
Just like Opera or Firefox brownser for example.

Except I'm... moreI don't know, when i use my iphone for full screen videos the notch definitely eats into the screen.......and i notice it (i don't get the other iphone users who say they don't notice it, i can literlaly point out the notch practically every time). The sooner Apple goes back to some form of TouchID the better in my opinion.

If USA did not ban Huawei we all know which brand would and should be first.
Compared to samsung they sell a lot better devices at less price with far better OS, camera and many else.
Also no Samsung UI where everybody experience useless apps such as Samsung brownser and google chrome at a same time in device and many else which are not for everyone.

I personally would prefer the area surrounding the notch or punch hole to not have any app or the phone contents extend into it. A handful of icons can stay there but that is it. Anything more, and the screen starts to look weird because there is now a thing blocking it i.e notch or punch hole. Unfortunately, many phone maker do not provide that option to remove the notch or hole area from the screen area, leaving the notch into the display and that looks very very bad

No matter how you want to spin it, facial recognition as the only method of biometric security sucks right now.

Anonymous, 28 Oct 2021Ugly notches that facilitate most advanced face recognition... moreApples Face ID, as advanced as it is, really is not great right now. With the pandemic it's actually a really unfortunate feature as it's much less convenient compared to a fingerprint scanner. So with an iPhone you're accepting the notch to support a feature that doesn't work all that well given how we're forced to live.
If apple wasn't so keen to cut out "dated" feature this wouldn't be so bad. But there's no alternative and so the notch is both unsightly and, for now, less functional.

Except I'm using a phone with a notch and I entirely understand its existence. And it does EXACTLY what I described. It holds status icons in its horns so the rest of display can be fully used for everything else. You can call it whatever you want, you're not going to redefine what it actually is.
