Google needs better quality control. I can understand missing the weird flickering and green tint which can only be seen when using the phone in a pitch black room but the second punch hole should have been caught.

Nasty green tint at low brightness is a known issue with a lot of Samshit panels and they act like it doesnt exist. I gotta return my Galaxy S7 Plus 2 times because of it

DroidBoye, 29 Oct 2021I have a phone with IPS screen that can do 1hr GPS navigati... morenot really. using Samsung S20 since the moment it was launched. no issues at all, screen is bright as new.

No offence to anyone here, but I have a old Note 8, Note 4 and Note 2 (all Samsung) at home, and not a single one of them turned red or green or whatever colour. The only thing is they all have mild burn-in and they all are still being used to this very day. Current Note 20 Ultra, I have been using it for a year and no burn-in whatsoever. I do use my phone a lot at high brightness. Anyone with an OLED screen just make sure to turn ur phone off when not using and you are good. Maybe mine just doesn't have these problems since Samsung displays are really good, correct me if I'm wrong.

tumarcin, 28 Oct 2021as long as it's software issue I don't care... The best fix for this is a device replacement to a newer batch. Software won't fix this but it can hide the issue until it get worse again (for google, hopefully after the warranty ends).

Anonymous, 28 Oct 2021You think IPS panels can’t degrade over time? The common kn... moreIPS LED does not fade in any reasonable amount of time. OLED fades after a couple of years, and causes eyestrain at anything below 100% brightness due to low frequency pwm. There's a reason nobody compares OLED colors to LCD after a couple of years.

Face it: you buy OLED because it's shiny. Not because it is superior technology. You are no better than an Apple consumer who buys a shiny laptop under the flourescent lighting of the Apple Store.

But you really... moreI have a phone with IPS screen that can do 1hr GPS navigation and another 1hr as my car's dash cam and the phone still runs no issues with the display for 3 years now (Pocophone F1). Try that with OLED on daily basis as I do and that OLED would have burn-ins in 1 to 6 months of use. lol.
