Bad thing is that it's Android 11 and get only android 12 update while it should come out as with android 12 and be like up to 14 or at least 13 when it comes with 11 and then that 3 years security updates.

Is Gigaset in any way related to Siemens? Coz Siemens used to sell Gigaset handsets (telephones). Did they sell the division and they are now making smartphones?

It is a bit on the expensive side given it's G85 chipset, but some will like replaceable battery. The "Guaranteed upgrade to Android 12 is a bit meh". Phone isn't even out and you'd expect it to have Android 12 out of the box. But it'll only get Android 12 and then 3 years of security updates. Hm. It's Made in Germany tho...

A bit expensive for the hardware but well if there is only fairphone in the market that is for competition with the removable battery then you can keep the price high

Anonymous, 29 Oct 2021What's so special about removing the battery? What's so special? Are you from the future? Virtually there's no decent or good mid ranges phones without a removeable battery unless you go for a brick phone or budget.

Having this on a good setup like this saves you having to buy a new phone or having to crack it open in a shop and getting ripped off on repair costs.

                          Benefits

                          Can buy replacement battery's
                          Have a 2nd or more.

Reminds me of the old Nokia days.

Need more phones like this to come out n have them.

Everything was OK... but why the Helio G85? Why not at least G90?

The removable battery made it cost so much like the fair phone 4.
