Xiaomi won't sell the Mi 11 Ultra in India again

29 October 2021
It went on sale in July, but only in limited quantities.

John, 30 Oct 2021I'm currently daily driving ArrowOS since it supports ... moreWell nice to hear. Though I've reduced dependency on Google apps, I can't imagine using a degoogled rom. How's A11 fw holding up for you? I've terrible battery life with A11 fw roms.

Anonymous, 30 Oct 2021Xiaomi is really dying. Like I told people, they are gonna ... moreNo one would go for an iPhone instead of a Xiaomi. Those two are for a very different target audience. And Xiaomi is not at all overpriced. How inaccurate that is

Who's buying them in the first place?

Anonymous, 30 Oct 2021Xiaomi is really dying. Like I told people, they are gonna ... moreWhat convoluted logic

Claiming Xiaomi is dying but is make more sales than ever ....

Then says Xiaomi is overpriced but then claim the most overpriced of all phones ever... The iphone

And gonas far as the claim usability.. when iPhones have the worst usability feature wise

Trade in value is unnecessary if you got the phone cheap in the first place

The 11 Ultra was heavily overpriced in my country, regular Mi was €799 (now around €779) and the 11 Ultra was €1399 for some reason (I don't get Xiaomi, people called Galaxy S21 Ultra overpriced in my country but it launched at €1199, but when Xiaomi did €1399 everyone's was like "worth it")

Anyhow they sold out fast and never came back, a friend of mine working in the telco business told me most stores got at most 20 units of 11 Ultra in stock.

And I don't mean per store, I mean in total.

Claude Stanchev, 30 Oct 2021It was ugly with bloated software and ads. The rear display... moreIn India it was sold for Rs. 65000 vs Rs. 95000 for S21U (after factoring in credit card discount offers). That steep price difference makes the few annoyances a easy to overlook. It's a much better phone than One Plus 9 pro but was sold at the same price.

With respect to india and indian people and indian business man... I am from Lebanon and what i see is most of Xiaomi phone was global version before a year! Now our market is full of indian version and mi 11 ultra one of those phone... Your government should find a way to stop those stupid business man who ruin your market and our market! Why we need indian version that is made for india in other countries? You should manage your market or don't blame Xiaomi or anyone else!

Anonymous, 30 Oct 2021Xiaomi is really dying. Like I told people, they are gonna ... moreXiaomi are not dying. They just have far to many phones out, every month they have a new one and are now saturating the market I think they need to slow down on phone releases and concentrate on defining the brand.

AnonD-1024704, 30 Oct 2021Basically 90% of people with 800$+ budget will buy iPhone ... moreBuddy, if I were to spend 800$+ on a device, I would seek something that does as many tasks as a PC / laptop in that range, as the latter is more capable when it comes to productivity.

For instance, I need a phone that lets me transfer data locally using a proper file manager w/ FTP support, OTG support, an accelerated download manager for the occasional torrenting (movies, programs, etc.), an IDE to run my code on the go, a debuggable unit to deploy my mobile apps, 7z for file compression / extraction formats, & so on.

Case in point, having an iPhone would be useless for me on a technical standpoint. For casual use, however, Android offers more flexibility when it comes to utilizing proper widgets, free ad-less YouTube experience (YT Vanced & NewPipe), plethora of movie & music player choices to choose from, emulation, & so on. iPhones, by comparison, offer a more simplistic user-experience that's hindered by its lack of features.

Long story short, if I had that amount of money to spend on a phone, then I'd do so on an Android phone, not an iPhone. For me, iPhones were always about paying more & getting less, & Apple is undoubtedly at the pinnacle of producing bad trends (removal of headphone jack & charger, notch).

Here in U. K. Xiaomi have just closed their one and only store. Understandable as Xiaomi has less than 2% of the U. K. market. In other words virtually nobody buys their crap here. And nobody wants to.

Anonym, 30 Oct 2021If you want flagship then avoid Xiaomi, instead get iPhone ... moreLol. No, thanks.

Xiaomi is really dying. Like I told people, they are gonna try to be the next Huawei. Overpriced Bs compared even to Sammy. But then, the best choice is probably iPhone. It's not just the price, you should consider the trade in value, usability.

It was ugly with bloated software and ads. The rear display was totally useless. It had potential, but Xiaomi didn't utilize it fully. It had overheating issues and it was priced the same as Samsung and Apple. What to like here? And still no 4K on the front camera. Just not a great phone in my book.

Nah, don't worry, Xiaomi 12 Ultra will be better, just wait next year for it. Yeah, that's the fact of technology product, there's always something better next release.

They sell for about $1000 but only 100 units in May (not April, I misrembered) and everything else you can find selling on my country's shopping platforms are either used or unofficial.
