Anonymous, 02 Nov 2021Still hope for compact or its iPhone for me Issue is, there won't be any iPhone 14 Mini. Even bigger issue is that what was considered "regular size" of 6 inches something is slowly creeping into "huge chungus" territory too which is really annoying. iPhone XR that I have now was already larger than Xiaomi Mi5 that I had before it. But I accepted it and got used to its larger size, but I really really don't want to go any bigger than this. But it looks we won't have much choice even here very soon.

only the camera and the battery are important for me.
i dont use my phone for gaming or productivity.
i dont need those 6 pro AI features, but also i dont use use the s pen often.
also im a bit disappointed with the 6 pro image processing,it pushes the hdr even more than the pixel 5.but i like the design.
and the cameras on the 20 ultra and s21 ultra are very comparable.
s21 has better specs but i don't like the curved edges.
my OCD is driving me insane 😅

I don't see any good reason for waiting s22 ultra that will have an expensive price tag.
And note 20 ultra is like you said isn't very good about camera & battery.
I love the square design on note devices but since their size is huge those corners isn't a nice thing.
Pixel 6 pro & S21 ultra
Both have really good cameras, it's like a tie, one can be good at one situation and sometimes other one.
S21 ultra is a bit bigger, heavier, and has just a bit better battery life, tons of customizations in one UI.
Pixel is overall a bit smarter in terms of ai features, has lots of fun stuff in its stock gallery, corners are a bit similar to note phones if you like those. This one will get 5 years of a security updates.
Other than that mostly your preference of design and UI.
I think both of these phones are great if you have a budget for them.

It is because of better chip which is codesigned with AMD, better screen and camera.
Batt capacity will be the same with s21 ultra.

Anonymous, 01 Nov 2021Phone does not need latest firmware to work well. Yes, however, I would rather have phone with latest SECURITY update than without it (just to be safe). Do not think that security updates change the way your phone works.

And this was how the camera housings were born . With more cameras it is simple to give them 1 house. Gives rigidity too.
Parallel to this though there is a trend to make the housings fatter and larger then needed. As well to add some quite useless macro or depth camera's but ymmv.
