Whaa, 01 Nov 2021How it get stolen and are you more aware and careful since?I was in the bathroom on a rent apartment where i used to live.
One day it got broken intro and they went fast for it. Though it was the noise from the workers next to my building working on a building... 🤷‍♂️
Im am more careful though, but careful of not putting the phone in danger of a drop.
Im on a safe place now.

Sawsan, 01 Nov 2021It's certainly wrong to use a phone for that long.Certainly right to use a car / house / husband or wife for 50 years if it's fine alright!

Wrong to use something for so long? 0

By that logic, you expect everything you own to break fast because you have so much money to replace anything you want at any given moment right?

Please reveal how long you are alive and if it's wrong to live longer than 10 years?

That's like saying you won't be wearing any clothes because you'll make yourself even " massiver-er " lol

Sawsan, 01 Nov 2021It's certainly wrong to use a phone for that long. All manufacturers must be forced to update phone software (at least security paches) at least for 5 years. Everybody talks about environment, but sadly everything comes down to economics and profits. With current flagship hardware, I think, phones can work flawlessly for 5 years minimum.

I'm on most people's side who wants to use a phone for as long as they can. I would read comments from old phones I wanted back in the day and it actually makes me feel good from people who say they've been using a particular phone for 5+ years.

I think it's good not everyone is in this endless loop of always needing to upgrade every 2 years or less because they're "bored" and always wants something new.

I don't like camera humps and Google is now the worst offender for it with their Pixel 6 series. I also like that Samsung is moving away from glass backs. I actually prefer plastic. The S20 was a matte finish but still glass. The S21 is a step in the right direction when it comes to the rear. Even better than the cheap glossy ones from the Galaxy S series from 2010-2013.

You can have 10mm bump but still the external glass can be scratched when in contact with any surface.

Early era flush phones, back in the olden days of smartphones, often didn't have a frame around the cameras and they ended up getting extremely scratched cameras. Even recessing the lenses caused problems as that little frame keeps a lot of stuff from ending up in the "lens holes'.
Putting a case on the phone is just not an option for a lot of us. I hate phone cases. The phones are already massive, so I'm not going to make my phone even massiver-er.
Sapphire camera covers would solve a lot of this, but that adds other issues with light quality going through, I think. The cost difference would be negligible on devices already costing a grand.

The S22 cameras are not going to be flush or flat with the back. They will protrude a little. There is really no other way as Samsung's main camera sensor measures 1/1,76" now.. and S22 will have the same main cam, i guess.

Now the camera bump's were becomming pathetic almost like useless spoilers on cars. Big bluff and a lot of air, although in phones maybe that air was used in the build for oother stuff.

They should call the Ultra the S22 Note, if they want to name it S series anyway. I still think the Note name is a very strong name. I will probably upgrade to the Ultra in the summer of 2022, then I use my Note8 for almost 5 years already. Nothing wrong with using a phone for that long when it cost me 1000 euro.
