"delete" is not something that's actually possible in the age of the internet, this is more like remove. Very very different. Just like the difference between shredding a piece of paper, and actually burning and grinding the leftovers.

Of course, as long as the app and server software are closed-source there's no way of verifying what it's actually doing, but that's besides the point.

Anonymous, 07 Nov 2021"They literally can see ur messages in WhatsApp" ... moreI have read it on forbes and some other Website I think. And the data they should was very much accurate and real. Plus they own WhatsApp, they can see anything they would want to see just like on any app the app devs can see what your doing on the app not in your phone which in the case Facebook can use by doing app tracking (which is standard).

They can't unless someone reports you, in which case last 5 messages in the chat are uploaded fo manual review.
"And they can connect to someone else phone next to you which is really harmful especially when that guy values privacy and doesn't want to get spied like crazy."
Do you have any source for that?

Dudenoway, 06 Nov 2021Since the rest 4 of them are too stupid for me to reply too... moreWhatsapp has encryption, but the back-up file is accessible by facebook (and it's given to the police = government upon request). If you don't have a back-up, police can still unlock almost any phone in cooperation with manufacturer and access those chats. That's why it isn't considered secure. Signal has truly disappearing messages so the government can't access those chats as long as they disappear even if they get your phone.

Government literally doesn't do anything about your data. If government didn't have ur data then I bet millions of robbers cybercriminals etc etc wouldnt have been caught. Facebook on the other doesn't use it for cookies (incase u dont know what cookies mean It means when they use ur personal info for revelant ads). Infact they sell ur data. They literally can see ur messages in WhatsApp (btw I won't care about that either if they didn't say it had end-to-end encryption) and bruh I'm saying this even if u delete Facebook they still have all ur info. And they can connect to someone else phone next to you which is really harmful especially when that guy values privacy and doesn't want to get spied like crazy.

2) I do know what fast typing is and can do it REALLY fast myself
3) I also know auto-correct doesn't always correct correctly, but it seems you don't know you're supposed to do the correction yourself in such cases
4) I am very sensitive about my privacy when it comes to governments (as I already expressed but you seem to not understand it), but I am more relaxed when it comes to information that corporations have about me because I know they want it just to show me more relevant ads wherever I go on the web
5) I have a brain like yourself and I know MANY more things, feel free to ask :))

4. Just cuz u don't care about rivacy doesn't mean I don't. I have a Facebook acount but if I delete it my parents might think I have done something suspicious so that's why.
And the biggest problem is not having a brain.

The government has all your data for a very specific reason. And if they didn't have ur data at all then this world would be a disaster. Its not only to get info of a criminal or something like that. But it has way more reason. Facebook on the other hand is just BS. Even Google discover is better. And no Facebook does NOT use it for cookies and ads. It LITERALLY can track what ur doing on your phone live and even use wireless signals to connect to a phone that doesn't have facebook. Facebook is preinstalled in 90% of phones and it already locks into your little data and then collects the rest of the data even if u uninstall it. Facebook knows thta I'm writing this comment exposing Facebook and its cybercrimes. Literally.

And I actually have a fake Facebook account and a real Instagram Account (but I don't do much in it anyway), but the issue isn't there even, the issue is that even with no account, if you don't have something such as "Facebook Container" on Firefox or other equivalent, since they have their "like button" and "comments" in a lot of websites, they can track users that aren't even registered to Facebook while knowing what websites/pages their users visit outside Facebook.
And this is a big issue, they can and surely do track basically everybody they can, with no ways for people who don't have a minimum knowledge (the vast majority of the users) to being prevented.
Even "Disqus" is by default blocked by "Privacy Badger", as it could do that, so Facebook...

They are doing a good thing. They know 100% that governments would soon start abusing such data. Any tech company has to provide the data they have upon any government or police request no matter what their privacy policy is. We should fear governments, not tech companies. The only reason tech companies want your data is more money from better targeted ads. Governments want more - not just your money that they take without asking, but more importantly your freedom through regulation. Don't fall for most government's lure that it's tech companies who is the enemy. The moment someone from the government starts blaming anything in the actual free market, please, be the smart person and realize that it's a lie.
