It's significantly slower than the internal flash memory, and I doubt much advancements would come with SD cards standards. Also it's difficult to move everything by default to SD only. Imagine having a 8gb rom in your phone, with a 512gb SD, it will be a huge bottleneck in performance, especially with you have to run rather bigger tasks, such as video playback, or loading bigger game maps etc. Comparatively, a 512gb with whatever is the lastest flash memory would be lightning quick.
A phone is fast not only because of it's processors, but it's lightning fast flash storage improves launch speeds and loading times, therefore faster phone.
Sure, sd card may get damaged or lost, but as you said, being careful can make it go long. But speed trumps longevity, especially considering average upgrade period for a phone is maybe 2 years (assuming cause most android only offer 2 major os updates, stats should back this maybe idk)

React, 06 Nov 2021Just make sure you guys bring back SD card slot Please, get yourself updated. External cards in phones are so backdated now. Not only those are slow, they are easy to lose and may get damaged anytime. If you really want extra scape just buy the phone with bigger internal storage. It's fast, reliable and as long as the phone is alive, it won't get damaged.

Let's go beeehhhhh, all sheeps are to change their old 1 year old (maybe) model with the last year model with new name phone s22.. Nothing new in the phone exept the number of the model but you will still pay 2000 for it.. Cmon behhh
