Some Google Pixel phones are randomly calling people on their contact list

The weird bug is seemingly related to the Google Assistant misbehaving and is mostly happening on Pixel 6 phones.

At least pixel has never had a major hardware issue like apples bendgate and antenna gate or like Samsung's exploding batteries.

    Let's also not forget bend gate, antenna gate, and face ID. At least most of the pixel issues are easily fixed with a patch. How do you miss something like the phone bending or the antenna not working if you touch it? Pixel has never had a major hardware issue. It's minor software bugs that all new products have.

        Can't you just buy a Samsung phone? Much better.

          Check out the tv show "Next" which is exactly about AI taking over like an evil Google Assistant.

            Mine kept calling people in my recent calls when bluetooth connected to my car. The calls weren't received and i also couldn't hang up! It happened 3 or 4 times and hasn't happened again. I assumed it was my car and not the phone.

              Neighbors dogs were barking in middle of night and triggered my new pixel 6 pro to try to call someone waking me up.

                Happened to me, sort of. Sequence of events:
                "Hey Google, send text to Lowell"
                Phone prompts me to dictate the message
                The message that it prepares to send is just "call James"

                I never said the words James or call. It was weird.

                      It's been happening to me a bunch of times on my 6 Pro and I couldn't get why it was doing. Ironically enough, it was calling James B and James A from my contacts.

                              I was so fed up with Xiaomi's constant bugs, so I ordered the P6P. My Pixel 6 Pro is being delivered today. I am not even sure that I will open the box, or just send it back and place an order for the iPhone 13 Pro Max. I've played with the iPhone and it's actually quite amazing. The Pixel 6 seems to be slightly inferior in the camera department, and much inferior in everything else, other than Google Assistant. Which calls people randomly, it seems.

                                Another phone that doesn't deserve all the hype at all and as usual, another Google phone with a lot of problems and bugs. This has to be the most overrated brand ever.

                                  Pixel isn't complete without a full of bugs that will last for the first few months after the release lol. Seriously though, Google must fix this ASAP.

                                    Mine was calling 911. On the screen where you can restart the phone or shut it off, there is a emergency button. Mine was dialing that while I was sleeping and all I kept hearing was a funky sound of an alarm going off and here the phone was calling the Police Dept to the point where they came out to my place to make sure everything was O K. Very very annoying, it did this several times within the first couple of days. I'm just glad it hasn't done it since then otherwise this would be a big issue.
